Located on a dead-end, this hoe is on a quiet residential street. You might hear an occasional siren, but it IS in the city. The hosts couldn't be lovelier! So welcoming and friendly. The bathroom is a nice size (bigger than most hotels in the area), and the bed is 'just right' in firmness. The breakfasts are plentiful -- you won't leave the table hungry! If you're looking for ham 'n eggs, you won't get it here -- the breakfasts have a more continental vibe. I would def stay here again.

I stayed for a month at Kawtar's place and had a great stay! The room is just as pictured and very comfortable. Kawtar was easy to contact with any questions and always willing to help!

Kawtar was an amazing host. She helped walk us through the room and answered our questions about the area. She also made us breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. We stayed two nights (Friday & Saturday), and my only regret was not getting breakfast on Sunday morning. Kawtar texted us that she was making us pancakes when we were on our way home - if you enjoy homemade croissants then don't miss out!!!

The room was clean and spacious in a private and safe environment. It looks identical to the provided photos. Unlike the previous reviewers' experiences, I had to reach out to Kawtar first to obtain instructions on how to get into the room. She responded quickly, which I am grateful for, but I would have been more appreciative if she had sent a message far in advance indicating how I would be receiving the key to the room. Like many of the reviewers mentioned before, the reservation includes breakfast. However, I was not invited to breakfast and when I mentioned it to Kawtar in my goodbye message, she stated "I asked you to let me know if you need any thing and you should ask me for the breakfast" indicating that it was my duty to ask for breakfast when she never even mentioned it in any of her previous messages. Overall, I had a comfortable stay, but I couldn't help but feel that there was a lack of hospitality during my time there.

Staying at Kawtar's house for the month of June was fabulous! For those who are attending courses or short fellowships at the NIH, this apartment couldn't be better. Only 5ish minute walk to the Clinical Center gate. The room was very private above their garage. Personal entrance made me feel independent and self-sufficient. Bathroom is big and equipped with main items. I left to travel home on the weekends and Kawtar sweetly cleaned, changed linens and organized. Wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else!
