Where you’ll be

Duluth, Minnesota, United States

The Lincoln Park neighborhood is one of the most culturally diverse & economically vibrant in the city of Duluth. The huge city park that gave it its' name (1/2 block away) surrounds Miller creek, a designated trout stream that tumbles down 12 blocks of steep rocky outcrops and old growth forest. Trails wind up and down both sides of the creek, small bridges cross the creek multiple times and all give easy access to shaded pools, tumbling waterfalls and quiet spots where one can relax and breath. Historically, the neighborhood has gone from turn-of-the century affluence, to mid- century working class to sadly degenerated in the 80's & 90's. From 2000-on it has been on the upswing and is currently experiencing an incredible period of growth and rejuvenation. Investment in business, craft and housing areas make Lincoln Park one of Duluth's most sought- after places to live, work and relax.
Craft breweries, 'dive' bars, convenience stores,
organic restaurants, cafes, sports arenas, machine shops, banks, boutiques, bakeries, music venues, museums and more can all be found w/in 10 blocks of each other, and this property.
From the business district spreads the heart & soul of the neighborhood- its' people- who live in homes that climb the hillside in a multi-colored mix of new and old styles, overlooking the harbor and Lake Superior itself.

From Minnesota. Public employee, 24 years, in community development and family support. Education degree. I like to hike, bike, read, cook, and create. I'm Active, curious, funny and compassionate. I love to learn about different people and places all over the world. Discussion is one of my favorite pastimes, after sleeping, eating and walking!

During your stay

Communication and contact will be tailored to your preferences. This is a home-share, not a private vacation rental. I love to accommodate, socialize and expound on what my home and this amazing city has to offer, but am also a fairly private person and often disappear for extended periods of time. When I am home, I tend to retreat into my own room after making sure all is as it should be, but am always available to offer any level of assistance that I possibly can-- and ENJOY doing so! Answering questions, giving advice and solving problems are things I excel at & are big reasons I decided to be a host. Not only do I have a wealth of experience & knowledge from 24 years as a local recreation professional, I can often accommodate services that go above and beyond a typical AirB&B experience, like shuttling, laundry and meal shares. No request is an imposition and I will do what I can! I expect that those who are sharing my home will communicate clearly and respectfully with me, and with each other. Texts, calls and emails will all work as we cooperate to create a near perfect experience for you in Duluth!
