New decorated double room in a lovely, quiet part of Sheffield, just minutes from the Peak District and 4 miles from
the city centre. It appeals to visitors
who want to be close to Sheffield but similarly to explore the Peak District and the surrounding area.
Over-the-road is Loxley Valley, a fabulous walk on down to the river where you may spot herons, dippers and kingfishers.

The space
A newly decorated quiet double room, one flight of stairs and at the back of the house overlooking the garden. It has tea, coffee making facilities for a gentle awakening. I provide a continental breakfast - cereal, croissant, roll, marmalade, tea, coffee. If you want a more substantial cooked breakfast, I can supply at an additional charge, just inform me of when you book including any food intolerances, e.g. vegetarian, lactose or gluten intolerant. Unfortunately, those with a nut allergy I have trouble catering for at the moment. Alternatively there are cafes in walking distance.

Where you’ll be

South Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom

Stannington is part of Bradfield Parish and where the first ever Tour de Yorkshire was held. So it not only appeals to walkers but cyclists as well. There are 3 pubs, Rose & Crown, Peacock and Crown and Glove, all which do excellent food and the Rose and Crown has live music from time to time. It also has a little parade of shops including a chemist, sandwich shop which doubles up as a cafe, hardware shop, greengrocers, a cafe, fish and chip shop, and a co-op that is open until 10 pm. The village also has a park opposite the shops and a cafe based in the park. A short drive away is Dungworth and Our Cow Molly Farm, which does the most delicious ice cream made on the premises. Although walkers and cyclists may want to go up as Dungworth is only about 1.5 miles away and there are good footpaths through Loxely Valley.

During your stay
I work from home so if you need anything during your stay, I will be more than happy to advise. You have the run of the whole house apart from our room and the office, so you don't have to stay in your room. The house has a little drive and garage where you can store push or motor bikes.
