Enjoy private luxury in this 2-story cabin at the water's edge on a wooded island. Located on the scenic West Fork of the Stillwater River, you'll find serenity in this beautiful area. Blue-Ribbon trout fishing. Secluded, but a short drive to hiking trails, the Nye Trading Post (convenience store/gas/post office), and Carter's Camp bar/restaurant. Please note: No smoking. The Pet Fee is $50 per pet. Please contact us in advance if more than one pet. Caretaker lives nearby.

The space
This luxury log home is in a gorgeous setting, heavily-wooded, with deer and other wildlife roaming through. You'll find great trout fishing on our rugged, crystal clear river. Unwind in the hot tub overlooking the river. The home is at the water's edge, giving you spectacular views of the river. Relax on the upper and lower decks, as you grill. Many other amenities are included. Ample parking.

Other things to note
The sound of the river is soothing but can be loud in late Spring & early Summer, as the snow melts - the cabin is right on the water's edge and the water is moving fast. During those months, if you're a light sleeper and think the noise might bother you, consider bringing earplugs. Later in the Summer, the water flow slows down to a beautiful & relaxing sound.

Also, the nights can range from cool to chilly to downright cold here in Montana, even in the summer. Bring a coat or warm clothing, if you plan to be outside at night.

We are only three hours from Yellowstone National Park, and only one hour from historic Red Lodge and the entrance to the Beartooth Highway. This National Scenic Byways All-American Road is a 67-mile stretch of US Highway 212 in Wyoming and Montana, and is the highest elevation highway in the Northern Rockies. One of the nation’s most dazzling drives, it’s also bound to make your heart pound, requiring nerves of steel to get through portions of it. The byway crests at nearly 11,000 feet in elevation, at the aptly named viewpoint, Top of the World. It features magnificent views of the Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains, open high alpine plateaus dotted with nearly endless glacial lakes, forested valleys, waterfalls and a ton of wildlife, including moose, bighorn sheep, Rocky Mountain goats, mountain lions, and bobcats.
