Good place to stay very close to ferry terminal. Bridgette served us a delicious breakfast early morning & organized a taxi to take us to airport. Very comfortable bed & clean room.

Great location! Brigitte's apartment is literally across the street from the Marche, the famous big open air market selling everything from fresh fruit and fish to arts and crafts from all the archipelagos in French Polynesia. Literally across the street and very close to the ferry, the beautifully landscaped gardens along the wharf of Pape'ete with its gorgeous view of Mo'orea and sailboats from all over the world. Brigitte goes to the Marche every Sunday morning when it opens at 4:00am (!) to buy fresh organic multi-grain bread along with delicious local jams and fresh fruit, which she slices with a garnish every day for breakfast for her guests along with tea. You have a choice to eat inside or on her balcony on fresh white linens with breakfast served on a set of china. Her place is exceptionally clean. Unfortunately when we arrived, bronchitis was going around. Brigitte was suffering from it and I ended up contracting it as well, so that I had to spend several days in bed on a course of antibiotics. Aside from that, the location cannot be beat, is safe and convenient to all the places people want to see when they come to Pape'ete.

We did not actually meet Brigitte as she was overseas at the time, however she arranged for a friend (JJ) to meet us. He actually picked us up at the ferry (although the ferry is easy walking distance to the apartment) and even took us to the supermarket. I think it speaks volumes about Brigette (and JJ) if a friend is prepared to take that much time out of their day to help strangers - he did not live in the area so it was on inconvenience for him. The apartment is right next to the Market so try to get there early and try the roast pork on fresh bread. Very central an close to the ferry. Peter (Sydney)

Response from Brigitte:
Hi Jerinette, Thank you for visiting my apartment. There was flooding in the town of Tahiti, and the elevator was exceptionally "out of order" for safety reasons! It was truly exceptional! I'm sorry. On March 6th, I sent you a message to inform you of my absence during the stay and that is the reason why you had a reduction for the second person who was with you. I hope your stay was enjoyable!

Terrific host and excellent location opposite the market, near to shops and within walking distance to the ferry and cruise port. We arrived late from New Zealand at approximately 12.45am. Bridgette had arranged a taxi and was waiting for us when we arrived. Cat is very friendly. Breakfast in the morning was the freshest fruit, juice, coffee and toast. Excellent stay!

Brigitte's place is ideally located in the center of the city, just a few minutes walk from the Ferry and next to the Marché de Papeete. Great stop if you don't have a car and lovely host. The place is beautifully decorated and you get a private bathroom and an amazing breakfast on her quiet terrasse. If you need to stay in the center and take the ferry, I would definitely recommend her place which is convenient and peaceful. The only drawback I had was that the elevator was not working because of the major flooding from the previous week. Thanks again Brigitte! It was lovely meeting you.
