Stylish and spacious former bakery with a garden that is very comfortable for 4 but can accommodate 8. Well placed for exploring Somerset, visiting fairs and festivals - Glastonbury of course, historic monuments, the Mendips, the Hauser and Wirth Gallery in Bruton and the Bath and West Showground

The space
Ideally suited to sleeping four people, the Bake House can accommodate up to 8. The property is a stylish conversion of a former bakery with it's own garden space and parking. It is located to the east of East Pennard adjacent to open country.

Shepton Mallet, Somerset, United Kingdom

East Pennard is a beautiful village on Pennard Ridge, close to Bruton (Hauser and Wirth Gallery), Castle Cary, Glastonbury, the City of Wells and Shepton Mallet. Frome is a short drive. Bath and Bristol a little further but both popular outings.

There are lovely walks or bicycle rides on our doorstep and many others in the locality. The views across the levels from the top of the ridge are stunning.

There are good pubs and places to eat a short distance away.

There is a fantastic range of activities in the area from the world famous Glastonbury Festival to countless other events at the Bath and West Showground. Haynes Motor Museum. Fleet Air Arm. There are numerous historic houses and landscapes to visit.

I was born and brought up in London and have lived in this lovely flat for the last 15 years. We have all been extremely happy here but now we have 3 boys and a puppy and have moved to the Somerset countryside. I am a textile designer and still come to London a lot as I love all the museums and markets where I gather my inspiration. I also have a passion for posters and textiles as you can see in the flat. I travel to India every year to collect textiles and design my dresses. Many good times have been had in this flat especially in the Summer on the roof terrace. I am keen gardener and walker and we are lucky to live near some good parks.
