Description

The space

A very comfortable double room in our early 18th century farmhouse with original beams and windows. We completely re-did the house 10 years ago to bring it up to the 21st century. The bedroom has an en suite bathroom with bath/hand shower and bidet.
Overlooking the beautiful garden, with a running steam it is extremely peaceful.
All our guests have commented on how comfortable the double bed is!

Guest access

Guests will have access to our cosy beamed kitchen with Aga for their breakfast with views to gardens in front and behind the house.
If it's warm enough, you can have breakfast on the terrace overlooking the garden and the farm.

Interaction with guests

We have sheep, Kunekune pigs andyoung and resting racehorses as well as our own horses so will be at the house to cook a delicious English or Continental breakfast but otherwise are usually working on the farm.

The neighbourhood

This is a perfect location to visit Cirencester, Malmesbury, Tetbury, Cheltenham or Bath. The M4 is only 20mns away and you can be in London by car in an hour and a half or the train from Kemble is only 10mns away.

We are near the Cotswold Water Park which has many facilities. You can learn to sail, waterski, windsurf and canoe. There are bicycles to hire and many secure tracks around the lakes for the family and also excellent footpaths. And of course you can walk around our 55 hectare grass farm which has wildflower meadows and plenty of wildlife to enjoy.

Getting around

Kemble Station is 15 minutes away. Because we are very rural here there are only a few daily buses to Malmesbury and Cirencester.

Other things to note

There are several pubs in the area worth visiting for lunch or dinner: The Wild Duck at Ewen, The Potting Shed at Crudwell and the Horse and Groom at Charlton. Our local pub, the White Hart in Ashton Keynes also does good pub grub. There are also many excellent eateries in Cirencester - Made by Bob, Sushi and the newly opened Cote.
