The space

The room is small but very functional and well-planned with a spacious loft-bed and smart bed-sofa. Ideal for one or two persons but more could squeeze in. Extra persons are free of charge!

Guest access

You will of course be able to utilize the whole flat with access to kitchen and bathroom etc. The kitchen is equipped with stove, oven and similar very obvious kitchen-stuff. Fridge, freezer and all that you know. Start cooking delicious things from day one.

Fast free wonderfully unlimited wi-fi will be waiting for you to use. A washing machine is at your service as well.

Interaction with guests

(!!!) I live with two veeery nice roomies. They are really busy enjoying life going out on adventures, so their rooms are more than often empty, but your paths will most likely cross sometimes anyways. Shake hands, smile and BOOM you got two new nice friends.

The neighbourhood

Where to start!? Kotti has the atmosphere, the vibrance and the authenticity that this city is renowned for. Berlin is edgy, rough and sexy. No other place represents that spirit as good as Kreuzberg and the area around Kottbusser Tor is the beating heart of it.

- Are you hungry? Step out of the door into a mayhem of yummy street-food from all corners of the world for cheap prices. The grocery store Kaisers is two minutes away and is open until midnight every day except sundays.

- Are you excited to see and experience Berlin? Take a slow walk along the U-bahn line U1 towards Warschauer Strasse to see many of the famous street-art-creations that characterizes Berlin. Turn left at Schlesisches Tor to cross the Spree and find yourself standing on the start of East Side Gallery.

Go south to Kottbusser Damm and discover Neukölln. Its cool and relaxed. I really like it. On tuesdays, fridays and saturdays there is a food/stuff-market along the river on the left side (coming from Kottbusser Tor). Really nice yeee... And go grab a burger on the opposite side of the bridge at Hamburger Heaven, and top it off with some amazing icecream at the Eis Manufaktur \(^^)/

- Do you like dancing through sunrise and sunset? Of course you do(?!!) Nightclubs are scattered around the area like traffic lights. Start out on any of the 100000 nearby bars with something to drink. After that clubs like Tresor, Prince Charles, Ritter Butzke, Watergate, Club de Visionaere, Chalet just to name a few are all within walking distance. Techno here and techno there. If you jump on the U-bahn the possibilities becomes truly endless. Go out and stomp the floors hard(est) ; >

Getting around

The U-bahn is extremely conveniently close. It literally takes a 45 second walk and the U1 and U8 will take you north, south, west or east in no-time. During the night, bus N1 and N8 will get you around the city and back home just as easily and smoothly.

House Rules

No special rules really, except that I would appreciate it if you could keep shoes off inside the flat. Electricity is EXPENSIVE€€€ so keep lights off when not used. Smoking in *kitchen* is fine as long as windows are OPEN, ahhh fresh air is good for you right?;)

The place was good as it was described. There could be few extra words about the neighborhood. The were also nice.

Anton has been very good with contact, but he wasn't around when we first found the place. There were no numbers on the unit doors and so we weren't sure exactly where the place was. We called Anton and we managed to figure it out on the phone, but he may want to invest in a name tag for his unit just in case he's not available. His housemates were super friendly and easy going and the room was clean and tidy. Hot water worked well and it was about what we expected for the price we got. The place is in a colourful neighbourhood in Berlin, but we felt safe the whole time. I'd say it appeals to people who are young at heart and don't mind a little suburban adventurism. Great bars and restaurants are all around the place, and close to transport, which made it easy to get around the city. All in all you pay for what you get and we had a great stay and would stay again.

Es war wirklich super! Alles verlief reibungslos!

Techno. Bicycling. More techno. Chocolate. Hayao Miyazaki. Guy Ritchie. Pasta. Forests. Early sunrise mornings in cityscapes. HUGE mountains.

Those things are cool.
