In our first trip to Montana, we could not have had a better time! Liz communicated well with us and provided a great "starter" kit when we arrived after a long drive (eggs, yogurt, a bottle of wine, and local coffee), along with suggestions on activities, restaurants, and all we could have needed for cooking! During our time there, we traveled to Glacier Park twice (about 45 mins), took a float trip down the flathead river, hiked Mt. Aeneas in the jewel basin, fished in Link Lake, hiked up Big Mountajn on the trail right outside, and walked around the town of Whitefish. There are endless things to do here. The condo was great, and is accurately described here.. the rooftop grill and hot tub were AWESOME! We cooked up there three times and took in the beautiful grill. After a long day, sitting on the little patio was great too! Thanks for a great visit, Liz! We hope to get back!

Couldn't have been more perfect. Liz made special arrangements for a later arrival for us, and the condo was wonderful. Not only did she leave us breakfast fixings, but also a welcome bottle of wine AND somehow arranged a rising full moon in our night view from the deck. Bed was blissfully comfortable, and that oversized tub was soothing at end of each of our long days exploring Glacier National Park. All just perfect. Thank you so much, Liz, for opening your condo to us. We'll send everyone we know your way.

Staying at the Morning Eagle was so great! The description was accurate, the unit was very clean and has an amazing view of the mountains. We enjoyed the location - just about as close to Big Mountain as you can get! One evening we walked to the chair lift and rode it up to the top of the mountain. It was beautiful! There are so many other activities at your fingertips too - Awesome Mountain Biking, Horse Back Riding, White water rafting, and more. This location does not disappoint! Liz made us feel so welcome! She had a bottle of wine for us upon arrival and a sweet note with tips and tricks of the best places to go in the area. She even had some breakfast items in the fridge for us! All in all, Liz was top-notch hospitable! Thank you, Liz for a great stay!

We could not have asked for a better home base for our Montana vacation. The condo had everything advertised and more, it truly felt like home. Elizabeth provided us with some starting groceries (fruit, milk, juice, water, eggs, english muffins) along with tons of brochures and information about the area. She even provided us with bear spray and a cooler. The condo was very clean and the kitchen had all the condiments, spices, utensils you could ever need. We cooked most of our meals there, but there was a great restaurant on property and Whitefish was only a 15 minute drive away. There was plenty to do on the mountain (hiking, biking, relaxing) and West Glacier was a short drive away for some amazing drives and hikes. Our host was great at communicating with us before, during, and after our stay. When we return to Montana, we will surely check to see if this place is available again.

Our trip to Montana was outstanding. Booking the vacation was easy and any response to questions were immediately answered. To start off, our host, Elizabeth, met us at the airport, giving us a warm welcome. The airport is tiny, making it easy to pick up our rental car and get baggage. Picked up some food supplies at the Whitefish Safeway and got to the condo in a short time. The photos on Airbnb accurately represented the property. Our new "home" was very clean and nicely appointed with toiletries, hair dryer, scale, washer and dryer, gas fireplace, barbecue on rooftop, kitchen dishes, utensils, spices, condiments, AND, start-off breakfast of a dozen eggs, orange juice, English muffins, butter, small milk, seltzer, and even a bottle of wine. There was a good supply of brochures, pamphlets, and maps of the area, along with some recommendations of attractions and restaurants. The ubiquitous bear spray was supplied--and gratefully unused by us. We did not need any bug spray. The view from the condo was truly beautiful where you can see forever. The area was blissfully quiet and low-key. The first day of our 8-day stay we were content to stay on the mountain near the base lodge doing the "walk on top of the trees", zip-lining, and exploring. The other days we drove (took 45 min. to one hour) to the West Glacier entrance and hiked. At Avalanche Lake (don't miss this one--it's accessed off the Ceder Tree hike), heard a whistling marmot. One day we drove up Going to the Sun Road to Logan Pass and hiked Hidden Lake. It was a cold, rain-to-hail day (mid-July) where we hiked through quite a bit of snow on a well-marked trail to overview the lake. (Could not go to lake as the bears had been active there.) Recommend a hiking stick and good shoes for the snow areas, or the end of Hidden Lake hike where the ground is steep and loose. Other day did river rafting with part scenic and half whitewater. One day went to East Entrance (add extra hour driving) at Two Medicine Lake for kayaking and hiking. (Saw a Bald Eagle while paddling, and a Bull Moose while hiking). Weather is forever changing so recommend some sort of rain gear for greater comfort. Hiking shoes, too. Elizabeth's condo was perfect for our beautiful Montana experience. We loved every minute.

Our trip was fantastic and Elizabeth made sure our stay was easy and comfortable. Great communicator so you know your trip will be a breeze. She met us at the door when we were dropped off by the Snow Bus in the morning, and she allowed us to store our bags while we skied a final day since the train doesn't leave until the late evening. The condo is very nice and has everything you need and is nicely appointed. It was fully decorated for Christmas which was nice since we were there the week between Christmas and New Years. Felt like a real holiday winter experience. It is ski in/ ski out with the absolute closest access on the mountain to Chairs 1, 2, and 3. All Village amenities are right there - restaurants, coffee, ski shops, lift tickets. This is the place to stay on Big Mountain for skiing. Big Mountain is a great ski area. When was the last time you skied at an area on the holiday week with lots of fresh snow and with lift lines almost non existent? (OK maybe we waited a couple minutes at the base area a few times). Also, the town of Whitefish which you can get to on a free Snow Bus in the winter has some really good restaurants and a lot of variety.

Elizabeth is a great host. She was extremely flexible when we wanted to change our dates due to the fire in Glacier. She was very easy to reach, offered great suggestions for activities and dining in the Whitefish area, and made us feel like welcome guests in her lovely condo.

I grew up in Montana but have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 30 plus years. My husband and I have been vacationing in Whitefish with our children during that time. In 2003 we purchased the condo at Morning Eagle. We are here much of the time and travel between California and Montana. We love the Whitefish area and the people of Montana. We are sure you will love it too. We can give you many ideas of what to do while here no matter what the season. Enjoy the view!
