Where you’ll be

Schoonebeek, Drenthe, Netherlands

1. The mobile home is within cycling distance of Germany, jaknickers in Schoonebeek (there are also shops and dining venues, such as a restaurant, a snack bar and a Chinese restaurant), Vincent van Gogh museum in Nieuw-Amsterdam (with shops such as department stores, supermarkets, hairdressers, drugstore, etc., and a modern boulevard along the Vaart), Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen, artisanal ice cream factory in Nieuw-Amsterdam and Veenpark in Barger-Compascuüm.
2. Furthermore, there are all sorts of nice Drenthine villages in the region such as Borger (with the largest hunebed in Europe, an open-air theatre and a primeval park) and Exloo (with Kabouterland and cozy summer markets).
3. A little further on are the museum village of Orvelte, the former Westerbork transit camp, and the open-air museum Ellert and Brammert in Schoonoord.
4. Assen and Groningen, including the famous Drents Museum and Groninger Museum, are a (half)hour's drive away.
5. Germany is within cycling distance of our mobile home (about 10 kilometers). In the villages of Emlichheim or Twist you can do shopping in a different way. Most supermarkets have a 'Pastry Shop', where you can eat delicious' cakes' and 'bread rolls'. The towns of Meppen and Lingen both have a cozy center where you can shop.
In short, every day you can make a nice trip.
