This sweet Cottage is 18'x18', 2-story, lakeside on the inlet to all-sport Townline Lake. Remodeled & efficiently designed for 1 person, couple, or family w/2 children. It sleeps 2 in an open-area queensized bed, 2 in twins in the attic-dormer. A Nu-Wave, 2-burner, griddle, microwave, private deck, boat dock, pedal boat, 2 kayaks, firepit (shared). Enjoy lake life - kayak, bring your boat, fish, BBQ, read, swim the sandbar, relax. Owner's usually next door. Sorry, no pets. MUST-SEE PICTURES.

The space
The guest cottage has all the vacation amenities, & A/C in an efficiently organized, small space. Imagine a private deck. And dock. A laundry room accessed next door. Perfect romantic getaway, or fun for a small family, or artist's retreat. There are public swings for children next door, boater's swimming holes, a sand bar on the lake for wading, an in-the-lake volleyball net out by an island where lake-lovers hang out, a park with swim area. BBQs. The swimming cove is a great place to dive and float and watch other lake-goers.

Where you’ll be

Lakeview, Michigan, United States

Lake living - rural, laid back, lots of water sports. Swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boat-turtle-hunting (kids love it...) are a must. That said, there are new wineries around, a good steakhouse closeby, bowling alley for the kids in you, some shops with Michigan-made stuff, and a cheese factory. Late summer orchards and animal fams. The Amish markets. And of course, as Michigan is a lush environment in the summer, golf courses, hiking trails, bicycle paths, yummy apple cider orchards. Please feel free to ask about any special event you may be interested in. NOTE TOO- we are only 50 minutes from Grand Rapids, BEER CITY USA, 3 years. A hopping place! (..had to say it...) And less than 2 hours from one of the largest bodies of fresh-water in the world, Lake Michigan, and its amazing beache and dunes. This could be your yearly go-to vacation spot.

I'm semi-retired/a lots-going-on person. I live on one of Michigan's inland 250 acre lakes, have a daughter, and some perfect grandkids (of course). I live in a big cottage/house with an old pontoon boat at the dock. I hike, fish, read, kayak swamps, watch out for new birds, swim, scuba dive, listen to PBS, binge watch HBO, sing even when I don't know the words, love showtunes, dig piano jazz, love old and new rock & roll, been dancing since I could walk. I love to bobber fish. And read. Everything. I've been creating meals for friends for decades, long before 'foodie' was a word, love to have friends over for a bonfire. Traveling's fun but only if I'm learning and laughing at the same time. The world's a place of wonder, for sure. There's not much I'm not interested in... the Caribbean is heaven, as is under-water, especially the animals and coral. I practice law ( only sometimes now) in a rural country practice. How can we improve life? Save the planet. Let's have a Rangpur & Tonic ...

During your stay

I greet guests and answer any initial questions. You could see me fireside in the evenings, by our riverside backyard firepit (we share it). You might get a pontoon ride, if you don't bring your own boat
