A quaint, private, hand made cabin in the woods overlooking a creek and buffalo pastures surrounded by majestic views of the Canadian Rockies. It has a very clean attached toilet. This cabin is off the grid, candle light, outdoor and indoor kitchen area, wood stove and propane back up heat, romantic and cozy, private fire pit, with Super Host status!

The space
The buffalo cabin has no electricity. It is lit by candle and led lights, it has a very clean attached outhouse with inside door. The wood stove heats it up very cozy and there is a back up propane heater also. It is a beautiful glamping experience with covered deck and kitchen, picnic table, bbq, and access to the whole ranch including the Blaeberry River that runs through the ranch. The buffalo herd often roams the pastures within view from the cabin.
Check in time is anytime after 4pm. All you need to bring is food. There is one buffalo tour at 10:15am May 15th thru October 15th. They are $15 per person, and take about an hour and a half. In winter if Leo has time he is happy to take you to see the buffalo and tell you about them. Guests can also view the buffalo anytime on their own.

The ranch is situated in the breathtaking Blaeberry Valley which is like the parks, but without the crowds. Twenty minutes up the valley is Thompson Falls. Across the street is the Northern Lights Wolf Center. The town of Golden is 15 minutes away with friendly restaurants, cafes and pubs and the voted # 1 for powder in North America, Kicking Horse Mountain ski hill.

I give the buffalo the tour every morning May 15th thru September at 10:15 a.m. ( Alberta time) for $15 dollars per person. It takes about an hour and thirty minutes, you don’t need a reservation and you are warmly welcome. Off season I don't do the full tour, but I'm usually able to take you to see the buffalo, answer your questions and tell you about them.
