The property is a mews house stables conversion, once part of a Georgian country mansion on the outskirts of the village of Callow End.

Set in a peaceful rural location it is an excellent base for exploration of the beautiful Worcestershire countryside or even for a work related stop over.

The house is a self contained annexe to the Stables with recently refurbished kitchen and shower room, it is comfortably furnished and has a small private garden with patio to the rear of the building.

The space
The Stables Cottage, once part of a working Stables, is a single level self contained annexe to the main building.

Set in a peaceful rural location it provides a perfect base for exploration of our beautiful countryside or just a place to unwind and get away from the stresses of life! If you are working in the area then here you will find a quiet, comfortable place to work or relax at the end of your day.

Just two minutes by car or a twenty minute walk takes you into the village of Callow End. There you will find a fairly well stocked village shop, open most hours!

Locally we have two lovely public houses within a short distance of each other. Both serve excellent food. The 2019 award winning Bluebell is across the road from the shop and the Old Bush is just a short drive or walk away set back from the main road. Both are well worth a visit!

As you drive into the village you will see the magnificent Stanbrook Abbey which for over 150 years was home to an order of Benedictine nuns. It is now a hospitality centre for dining, conferences and weddings.

Finally a few Covid notes!
I always strive to clean the property to the highest standards however since the outbreak of Covid, I have put extra measures in place to endeavour to ensure your safety.

All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Linen is washed at high temperature. I have also blocked bookings for a full 24 hours either side of visits to allow for thorough cleaning.
Cleaning products are available in the kitchen and bathroom for your use if you would like to use them.
I wish you a safe and happy stay at the Stables Cottage.

Guest access
The entrance to the cottage is through the large white stable door which faces you as you enter the courtyard. The key safe is to the right of the stable door, close to the old water pump.

Please take care on the step as it is higher than you might expect. Same applies to stepping from the kitchen into the garden!
The parking area is adjacent to the owners property and is sign posted 'Reserved parking for the Stables Cottage'.

Other things to note
When running hot water in the kitchen, please be patient! It will get there, it just has a long way to travel!

There is an emersion heater in the shower room which is set to heat the water in the night. It will switch off in the day but the supply should be enough for your needs. If not there is a booster switch. Heating is provided by the night storage radiators if needed.

There is a wood burning stove for extra warmth if needed and I will provide a basket of logs to get you started. More logs are available at extra cost, do ask if you need more.

Please ask me if you are unfamiliar with operating the stove, there is a nack! Don't be fooled by its size, it gives off a lot of heat!

Hi I'm Linda, I started up my Airbnb business last year after my retirement from nursing in the NHS. I worked all over during my long career during which time I spent a fascinating five and a half years working in Saudi Arabia. More recently I have worked in the beautiful town of Malvern in Worcestershire. Retirement has allowed me more time to indulge in my hobbies. These include foreign travel, cooking for my family, gardening, singing in a local choir and exploring the wonderful Worcestershire countryside with my two fabulous Whippets.
