Washfield Cottages have recently been awarded a 4* accreditation by Visit Wales, recognising the lengths we go to to ensure that you have a fantastic stay!

Milking Shed is situated in the rural village of Molleston but just two miles from the pretty market town of Narberth, with its delis, homeware and foodie shops, and just 15 minutes drive away from stunning beaches and pretty seaside towns.

The space
Milking Shed is the perfect base from which to explore everything Pembrokeshire has to offer. Bursting with Welsh seaside charm and beautifully furnished, Milking Shed is fully equipped to make your stay stress free and as comfortable as possible.

Milking Shed takes its name from the building's original use when Washfield Cottages were the outbuildings for a dairy farm.

Milking Shed is an extremely comfortable cottage for four, perfectly set up for a family or four adults. With lots of character and celebrating all things Pembrokeshire the décor is designed to help you plan your time in Pembrokeshire, with photos and prints of local sights and a welcome pack brimming with ideas of places to visit, eat at and discover!

INSIDE MILKING SHED

Opening into the light and airy open plan living and dining area. The dining area is furnished with mid-century dining chairs and the walls are lined with seaside blue wood paneling. The comfortable living area has a sofa, armchair and lots of welsh wool cushions. The TV has freeview channels, on-demand services and built in DVD players and we provide a DAB radio so you can relax in comfort. We have books about the local area, DVDs and boards games. A cosy spot to unwind and reminisce about your days adventures and plan your days ahead.

Off the living area there is a well equipped kitchen looking out over the communal garden and across to the fields beyond. The kitchen has all utensils needed to help you cook up a storm. Including: induction hob and electric oven, all the utensils you could need, microwave, stick blender and a nespresso machine. Also a dishwasher, because nobody goes on holiday to wash up! We set you up with everything you need to make teas and coffees on arrival so you can have a refreshing cuppa before you head out to explore.

The main living area leads, through a reclaimed sliding door, to a hallway lined with hooks to hang coats after a days exploring.

There is a bright and modern bathroom with rain fall shower, deep bath and plenty of hot water! There are fluffy white towels and waffle bathrobes for the whole family, ensuring maximum relaxation.

The bunk room has full size bunk beds so suitable for children as well as adults. There are colourful hooks to unpack onto and a large chalk board for creative types! Feather duvets and pillows ensure a great nights sleep.

The large double bedroom has a traditional metal bed, hanging space to unpack and is decorated with artwork of gorgeous Pembrokeshire. The comfortable bed is made up with feather duvets, pillows and a gorgeous hand made welsh blanket.

While there is no room in the bunk room for a wooden cot, there is plenty of room in this spacious double room.

OUTSIDE SPACE

Outside the front door is a handmade scaffold board bench perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The cottages have a communal garden set up with picnic tables looking across the fields where you can eat alfresco and are welcome to set up a barbeque. We have a swing ball set for those with a competitive streak!

There is off-street gated parking outside the cottages.

Washfield Cottages has a communal laundry with free-to-use washer/dryers, a sink to wash down your muddy boots or sandy beach gear, secure bike storage, hanging space for wetsuits and outerwear.

Visit Wales have awarded us with their Walking Friendly and Cycling Friendly accreditation, because of all the facilities we have to help Walkers and Cyclists enjoy Pembrokeshire.

Hannah, Stephen and (little) Jacob moved to Pembrokeshire from London in 2017 to renovate Washfield Cottages into a set of family/walking/cycling friendly holiday cottages. For Hannah this was a move back home, close to her family in Narberth and Maenclochog. For Stephen it was a move to the country to spend more time with Hannah and Jacob. For them both it was a chance to do more cycling, walking, surfing, swimming and lazing on the beach!
