I stayed in the apartment for 2 months and it worked out very well. Very clean, and super convenient to the 7 train and many restaurants and shops in the area.

I did an almost 2 month stay at Pao's place in the late fall of 2015 and I would heartily recommend the apartment to anyone interested in booking it. I did not have the chance to meet Pao during my stay but I did meet her meet partner Sen, who, like Pao, was incredibly helpful in arranging my stay at the apartment. Sen is a very friendly guy and he was always readily accessible via a phone call or text. He promptly and thoroughly addressed both any minor issues that arose in the apartment where I was staying or any general building maintenance issues that impacted the quality of my stay. If location, cleanliness, a quiet living environment and quick access to Queens and Manhattan are important factors to you when booking an Airbnb stay, then this apartment is a good match for you. If luxury accommodations, cable TV and quick access to the hip and trendy areas of Brooklyn are important factors to you when booking an Airbnb stay, then this is not the place for you. If you like buildings, apartments and neighborhoods that have character, then this is the place for you. The apartment has some minor quirks. It's located located in a pre-war building and thus you won't be staying in a luxury building or gleaming modern condo. I for one didn't have any issues dealing with/navigating the apartment's few quirks. The Wi-Fi at the apartment worked fine 99% of the time. I'm originally from the neighborhood where Pao's apartment is located and thus I can attest to the fact that the apartment is located in a safe, friendly and socially diverse area. If you like to try food from every corner of the planet then this area of Queens is a great place for you to stay. In the immediate area surrounding Pao's place you'll be able to walk to a nearby wine bar and drink there until 1 or 2 AM. You'll also have your choice of local Irish pubs, many of which are open until 4 AM, several of which serve food all day long. Some of them serve food as late as midnight and one of them serves food until 2 AM. If you have an entire day free during your stay at Pao's consider walking west along Roosevelt avenue. It runs through the heart of countless different vibrant and down to Earth neighborhoods that feature people, cultures and cuisines from all over the world. You can also take the nearby 7 train to a New York Mets baseball game or to Flushing, where you can get amazing Chinese and Korean food. Queens is a truly amazing place. Lastly, if you need to get to to Brooklyn quickly it takes about 20 minutes to get to Williamsburg by cab and the ride will cost you between $20 and $30, not including a tip.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two months. It was a pleasant experience. The building is old and has a few tricks, but it's not a problem once you get used to it. Sen lives just downstairs and is extremely helpful with everything (including fixing things in the apartment, carrying luggage upstairs, and receiving packages when we're not home). The neighborhood is unbeatable- many delicious restaurants with affordable price, quite a few grocery stores, a dozen laundry and dry cleaners, and just about everything you need within walking distance. 7 train is one minute walk away. All together a great place to live.
