Close to the vibrant tourist centres of Keswick, Derwent Water and the Georgian Gem town of Cockermouth; TAN HOWE DYKE is within the Lake District National Park.

The cottage enjoys mountain and rural views. Walking on the banks of the River Derwent is a pleasure just a few minutes walk from the doorstep.

Both Keswick and Cockermouth offer fine restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Great fish and chips too!
The Pheasant Inn and the Castle Hotel are a short distance away.
Brewery tours are available at Jennings Brewery Cockermouth
The nearby Lakes Distillery has a fine bistro open until 9.00 pm and also organise tours of the distillery with opportunities to enjoy whisky tasting.

Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome, subject to a charge of £20.00 per dog per stay, payable on arrival.
Dogs are not allowed upstairs or to be left alone in the house.
