I lived in Washington, DC for many years and owned a 6 BR 6 BA home where I hosted many wonderful Airbnb guests. . Until my recent move to Vermont I had lived there twice — and also lived in New Jersey, Iowa and Oklahoma. However, I was raised and grew up on a Kansas farm. My dad cut wheat all over the Midwest, my mother raised and showed champion Great Pyrenees dogs. Soleil Kennels was the largest kennel of its kind until my mothers death many years back. My father also enjoyed a wonderful reputation as a working dog judge, along with his musical talents -- singing, playing harmonica and guitar. I lost my dad in 2010 at 92, but he had lived with me for several years. As for myself, in my professional career I have been involved in health services research as a CEO, VP and director. Then I found a transition career in health IT very exciting and challenging. Personally I'm a music lover and performer. I sang with a Jazz group for three years. I started work towards a master's degree in public health and information technology, but work demands ended that venture. In 2017-2018 I built a lovely new loft home in my old Jericho/Underhill neighborhood, on the back side (the good side) of Mt Mansfield. I want my new home to be the same wonderful haven for intellectual, academic and artistic discussion -- and lots of fun — as my previous DC home. Here we have the addition of everything Vermont has to offer, Mountain View’s from my home’s windowed walk, large deck and screened porch. Guests have always commented on what they feel is the amazingly comfortable decor of my home -- but more importantly, my new home it is already a gathering place for incredibly interesting people, with the opportunity for the most amazing conversations. I've hosted people from all over the US, Europe, Latin America, South Asia and beyond . If you are here for pleasure, you will be welcomed and given tips as needed for enjoying this beautiful and magical state. If you come to Vermont for work, play or restoration — as with all guests, you will enjoy the personal privacy the home affords. Eat out, cook in yourself -- whatever fits your needs. Welcome to My beloved Vermont !!

During your stay

I was a super host for over ten years in Washington DC where I had a seven bedroom, six bedroom home which included an apartment. I am very flexible and can help orient you to the area. You will have a coffeemaker and electric hot water/teapot with supplies. I usually check with my guests to discuss what they need to have available for a pick up breakfast if arriving too lat to go shopping at the nearby Jericho Market (closes at 8PM) .
