The Cowshed at The Barns at Friars Court is a newly converted Barn. Nestled in stunning Wye Valley countryside. Situated in a great location just 7 miles from the M50 with the historic Market towns of Ledbury, Ross on Wye and Newent only a short distance away. Westons Visitor centre is 3 miles. The property is all on one level. Offering a relaxing place to stay for families, friends and groups. Our Farm is in a very quiet peaceful setting with unspoilt views over the rolling countryside.

The space
Our recently converted Barn has retained a wealth of original features and is finished to a highly luxurious standard. Our limestone floors have underfloor heating the property is all on one level making it easily accessible. Our Bespoke kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs and features a large Island/Breakfast bar plus large dining table. The spacious lounge features a wood burning stove perfect for cosy winter nights, there are 2 comfortable sofas from which you can enjoy the best view in the house looking out onto unspoilt countryside. The French doors open on to a patio with BBQ and garden furniture. Bedroom 1 which is en-suite features a zip and link bed which can either be super king or 2 doubles there is also ample room for a proper cot or toddler bed upon your request. Bedroom 2 is also a zip and link bed which can either be 2 singles or a super king. Bedroom 3 is a double bedroom. We welcome families of all ages and with prior request can provide cots, high chairs, toddler beds, age appropriate equipment and toys. Our farm has cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and the occasional pig! We love nothing better than giving a tour of the animals, our wild Daffodil meadow and getting little ones to help with egg collecting or feeding the animals. We are not an intense Farm, during planting and harvest there maybe a small amount of tractor noise or farm smells. There is a large car park and beautiful courtyard featuring flower beds which incorporate architectural farm finds this area is shared with next door The Old Stables an additional Airbnb listing which can be jointly booked to sleep 12.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our farm is a short walk from English Heritages St Marys Norman church which is a fascinating site. The renowned Daffodil way footpath runs along the boundary of our Farm along with other great footpaths on your doorstep. We also have a sensational Daffodil meadow on the farm with a wealth of nature within it. We are just under 3 miles from the village of Much Marcle where the Historic house of Hellens manor is located, close by there is Westons Visitor Centre and also a country pub in the village. Eastnor Castle, Symonds Yat and the Malvern Hills are a short drive away. Outdoor activities in abundance will be found in the Forest of Dean, including canoeing, climbing, fishing, golf, horse riding and cycling. For children, there is the Wye Valley Visitor Centre , with its maze, butterfly Zoo, miniature golf and laser tag, the Birds of Prey Centre Newent. There is a great outdoor children's area at Weston's visitor Centre I often find Grandparents minding children in the outdoor park whilst parents are on a Cider tour! Hereford, Malvern, Gloucester and Regency Cheltenham with its racecourse are all within easy driving distance.
