Our stay in the wagon was exactly what we were hoping for. It was very cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved that it took us less than an hour to get there. It was secluded enough that we could stargaze at night without the city lights disrupting our view. We didn't have cell service, which was ok with us! Gail was very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We would love to go back!

What a hidden gem! Upon arrival, Gail was kind and welcoming which made for a great start to our weekend getaway! The tiny sleepy quarters was just what was described and exactly what we needed for a quiet weekend in nature- but with the comfort of a bed! We were new to the area and Gail recommended many hikes- one which we ended up venturing to- it was beautiful and we are so glad to have taken her advice! We will be back and would highly recommend this stay. Bonus is the quick hour drive from Denver!

Gail's Wagon Retreat was the perfect weekend getaway for my partner and I. We were looking for a bit of an upgrade on our usual camping trips and this was a great way to do it! The wagon itself is cozy, the location on Gail's property provides some privacy and seclusion you wouldn't normally get on a crowded campground. It was exactly as described, no major surprises. The scenery and surrounding area is beautiful and there is a ton to explore. We will definitely be back!

The Wagon Retreat was lovely, just what my husband and I were looking for. The cabin is secluded and we enjoyed a day by ourselves by the fire. We made the little fire pit work well for our purposes and the wagon was the perfect upgrade from our usual tenting outings. We also had fun exploring nearby Nederland.

I am a letterpress printer and bookbinder, trained in ceramics and currently working in pastel on wood. If you are interested I'll give you a tour of my press room and working presses built in the 1880's. I love living in Gilpin County - keeping an eye on the Continental Divide with my two Norwegian Elkhounds!
