You will be staying in our beautiful camping pod set in 7 acres of woodland, orchard and meadow, less than two miles from the beach and with distant views to Dartmoor. It is very quiet as there are no other guests on the site.
The pod is in a wooded area a short walk from the parking space. Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing for the outdoors and sometimes wet/windy weather.
The pod has no heating so please come prepared at cooler times of the year, we will provide additional bedding.

The space
The pod comprises a double bed, gas hob, sink and a fold out table with two chairs. There is 12v lighting from a solar panel and battery. The power supply can only run lighting and charging for phones or tablets, other electrical devices cannot be plugged in. It is situated approximately 200m across sloping ground from the car parking area. There is mains water to the site and a pleasant, well maintained composting toilet and shower located a short distance through the trees. You will be supplied plenty of firewood and dry kindling and there is a fire pit for barbecuing. The pod was built by myself using mainly local timber (larch, oak, cyprus and yew.) It is well insulated and double glazed.

Where you’ll be

United Kingdom

We are situated in the South East corner of Cornwall The fishing port of Looe is about 5 miles away to the west and Seaton 2 miles the other way. The beach at Downderry is often quiet and overlooked by most of the tourists. Further inland you can be on Bodmin Moor in 40 minutes. There are many hidden treasures and unusual spots. we've been living in this area for 18 years and are still finding new places.
