Lower Queen Anne across the canal from Fremont and Ballard - there couldn't be a better location to stay in Seattle. Walk or bike - or kayak - to Fremont or Ballard for all amenities, nightlife, restaurants - some of the best Seattle has to offer. Living on the water is an experience like no other. Take advantage of the peace and quiet (apart from the sounds of geese, ducks, and boaters), while still being close enough to everything you need - you will be the envy of your friends.
It's easy to get around! On the Ship Canal bike trail, directly parallel with Burke Gilman trail, on several bus lines, easy walking to all amenities and restaurants. From Seatac Airport, take the light rail to Pioneer Station and switch to the #13 bus north to Queen Anne. Walk a block down to the water. Driving - head north on 99 into Fremont, take Bridge St to Stone Way, across the Fremont bridge, down the canal near Seattle Pacific University. 1 parking spot is included. 10 minutes to downtown by car or 25 minutes to airport.
Boats are not the same as living on the land. Extra care and caution is necessary. Being respectful of the water and neighbors is an absolute must. No parties.
