The two single rooms open onto a tree- & flower-filled courtyard. Peace & tranquility.......

The space
The 200-yr old house is centered around a tree- and flower-filled courtyard. The two single rooms available (see photo) with windows overlooking a very quiet country lane, are the first two on either side of the entrance, one with an en suite bathroom. A-joining one room is the kitchen where I would serve a simple, vegetarian breakfast (or in the courtyard) & where tea and coffee can be made at any time (a shelf in the fridge is available for fruit, delicatessen items etc if guests would like to 'picnic' in the courtyard). There is a camp bed for a third person if required.
Guests have a key to the front door, so can come & go as they wish.

DISINFECTED AFTER EVERY STAY

The location is ideal for those who may be attending conferences/weddings etc at the big hotels nearby (St Raphael, Grand Resort, Elias, Meridien, which are about 4k away) but prefer to stay in a village house.

Pareklissia is not a 'typical Cypriot village' (church & coffee shops centered around a square), but fairly modern, with a few old houses, mine being one, and a beautiful C14 church.. The countryside is lovely, with the cleanest and most attractive coastline in the area. There is a wonderful seaside walkway (a special treat for wandering at nightime in the summer) about 3 kilometers away, and lovely walks around Pareklissia. Or, if it gets too hot, a trip to the foothills ( a 20 min drive) is very inviting. And if a full-blown mountain walk is more to your taste the Troodos Range is just 45 mins away by car.
Pareklissia itself has shops supplying everything a holiday maker would require. There are also a dentist, a doctor and pharmacies..... and virtually everyone speaks English, although practicing your Greek would be very much appreciated!
Limassol is the closest town, with a regular bus service that follows the coast all the way into the town centre. There are frquent concerts, plays, dance performances etc, and of course, shops. All sorts of water sports are available too. Some form of transport is virtually essential.
I have 'Notes for Guests' re unusual things to do & see in Cyprus, tips for hire car, eating out, villages to visit, websites for the airport bus etc which I can send to anyone interested. Just ask!

Guest access
The guests will have access to the courtyard & the kitchen for a light breakfast, making tea/coffee & to store food in the fridge (sorry, no cooking).

Other things to note
There are 2 single rooms & a camp bed available too. It is possible to move one bed over, to make a 'double room', a bit 'tight', but it's been done!
Beach/swim towels provided on request.
There are fans & heaters in each room.
A hair dryer available on request.
Given the world-wide plastic-pollution problem, I am doing my very best to cut down on it’s use & would encourage guests to do likewise: e.g. the water in my area is perfectly safe, so there is no need to buy bottled water.

Location

Pareklisia, Limassol, Cyprus

I love the area for the peace & quiet, while at the same time having easy access to both Limassol & the mountain areas.

My two daughters having 'left the nest' I thought how much I would love to invite others to enjoy the peace and tranquility of my 200 year old stone house in the quiet village of Pareklissia. I am a vegetarian...... and a magician! Yes, really! My passion in life is the designing and making of the magic tricks  which I sell at ‘fairs’ and on the internet. A very rewarding life. In my leisure time I enjoy the culture and entertainment that Limassol, 15 miles away, has to offer. I have lived in Cyprus for 45 years and I'm sure I will be able to offer hints about the lesser known delights and hidden treasures of the island.
