Costa Teguise is a tourist area on the east coast of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. It is known for its sandy beaches such as Playa de las Cucharas, very popular for water sports. The Lanzarote Aquarium has numerous marine species, as well as an underwater tunnel and animal contact pools. In the bustling Pueblo Marinero Square, designed in part by local artist César Manrique, there are restaurants and stores. To the west, the Aquapark has slides, pools, and zip lines.
