Our beautiful Mongolian Yurt is in nestled in the secluded Cornish countryside with stunning views down the valley towards Holywell Bay, Poldark’s local beach on the popular TV series! It has a wrought iron king size bed, kitchenette, dining table, sofa, heater, compost loo, shower and BBQ. We also run an internationally renowned yoga studio so you can book yoga classes from our full weekly schedule. Search for Lime House Yoga.

The space
You’ll be staying in one of two yurts that are located to make the most of the beautiful views over the dunes towards Holywell Bay. Each yurt is self contained with it’s own cooking, sleeping and lounging facilities, plus compost toilet and hot shower. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials you need including 2 ring gas stove, kettle, cutlery, crockery, ice box, oil, salt and pepper. There is also a shared BBQ and outdoor furniture and each yurt has it’s own fire bowl with one net of logs provided on arrival, extra logs can be purchased on site. We provide linen, towels, washing up liquid, toilet roll, shower gel and soap. The yurt can sleep 2 people either as a couple in a king-size bed or friends sharing as there is also a comfy double sofabed.

Guest access
You can drive to the yurts to unload your bags and then parking is in the front of the main house and the yurts are a short walk across the fields. The yurts are situated away from the main house giving you privacy and seclusion. Hot water for cooking and washing up currently needs to be heated by kettle. We also recommend you bring suitable footwear for wet weather days.

Other things to note
Must be dog lovers, we do have two (very friendly) dogs. At the moment there is no electricity in the yurts, however we provide a solar power pack to charge your mobile devices.

Location

Truro, England, United Kingdom

We are located on the north coast of Cornwall near the surfing town of Perranporth. 10 minutes to the north is Newquay and 15 minutes to the south is the county town of Truro. Newquay airport is only a 20-minute drive away. There are shops located in Perranporth, Newquay and nearby Cubert and our local pub The Smugglers Den is a short walk away for excellent local ale, cider and home cooked food.

A 30-minute walk away to the south across the dunes is the lost church of St Piran. Originally built in the 5-6th century by the patron saint of Cornwall, St Piran, it became engulfed by the shifting sands in the 10th century. Lost for hundreds of years it was rediscovered in the 18th century. It was reburied in the early 20th century to protect it from vandalism. In 2015 it was re-excavated by the St Piran Trust. The lost Church is one of the oldest and most important sacred sites in Britain, second only in age to Iona Abbey in Scotland.
