The location is great: very near everything without being noisy and busy. Baba is very helpful finding activities and giving general information. Lots of books (in a variety of languages), PNCC wifi (you can buy a card at the store 2 mins away by foot), TV, DVDs. Patios and porches to watch the sunset, and plenty of space. There is not much internet on Palau, and the wifi isn't open and free. There are a few wifi networks and you have to buy access ($10 for 8 hours).

My boyfriend and I had a very pleasant experience at Ms Pinetrees. Baba had a driver waiting for us at the airport when we arrived at 1am that brought us straight to the hostel. We had a private room with bunk beds, closet and air conditioner. It was a modestly sized room with a shared bathroom but it was all we needed because we were out diving all day. There was plenty of communal space indoors and outdoors with the upper deck having an especially nice view of the sunset. The kitchen is well stocked and roomy. We got plenty of use of the kitchen and fridge and we were happy to have it. Baba was usually around and very helpful if we needed anything. He arranged another early taxi for us when we left. Palau is a very special place. The week flew by and we plan to be back. Thanks Baba :)

Ms. Pinetree's was a lovely place to stay! Great communal environment, beautiful terrace views, solid house rules to keep respectful boundaries, walkable to the downtown strip with markets & restaurants. Rooms were clean with huge storage lockers that fit my entire backpack. Bathrooms could've been a little cleaner but overall doable. Best of all was Baba, the "house dude", who is incredibly friendly & helpful. Nice movie selection & book exchange too. I would definitely recommend & hope to stay here again for my next visit to Palau!

I stayed in this hostel 4 days and met a lot of cool guys, they all so kind. I made several friends and had a great experience there. I like when we shared the kitchen and got together in the hall, sharing our trip and life, that just really made my days. Also the host, Baba, is a super nice guy! With Baba's advice, my tour in Palau became more convenient and more local way, which is just what I want. So if you want to get a value-added traveling, definitely choose Ms. Pinetree's Hostel!
