This is a quirky beach hut in HERNE BAY, to relax and create memories - right on the beach!
DAY TIME ONLY, NO NIGHT STAY!

BOOKING
This ISN'T a normal room booking so the automated check in/out times DO NOT APPLY here.

YOUR BOOKING will come through as a night stay BUT you are booking for a FULL DAY ONLY.
So if you book, say, 14th to 15th August, your booking day at the hut is 14th August only, all day.

You can COME AS EARLY AS YOU WANT on the 14th and then return the KEY on 14th BY SUN SET.

The space
When booking please confirm via message what day you are booking.
CANCELLATIONS are accepted due to bad weather only.
The council only allows MAX 8 PEOPLE for the rented huts, please stick to the rules to avoid problems.

LOCATION OF THE HUT
Western Esplanade, Herne Bay, CT6 8RN
Close to the pier, Clock Tower, amusements and shops (5 minutes walking).

Please DO NOT LEAVE RUBBISH BAGS next to the bin (bring your own bags) - seagulls, foxes and wind will tear it apart and spread it across the huts, and into the sea. If your rubbish doesn't fit in the bin please, out of respect for everyone and nature, take it with you.

Ballons and confetti pullute the beach please do not bring it to the hut.

Please bring anti bac wipes to use in the hut.

IN THE HUT YOU HAVE (also see pictures):
- chairs , cushions, blankets, 2 small and 1 big-ish tables, cutlery, mugs, glasses, pans & pots.
- gas cooker, a cooler (no fridge but cooler works really well with ice or cooling blocks).
- cooking spices, tea.
- 2 people small BBQ (bring the coal and tools) - please note disposable BBQs aren't allowed on the beach.
- wind breaks

You only need to bring food, drinks or there are many fish & chips places and restaurants at walking distance (no particular recommendations).

No Wifi
No electricity
Very poor internet signal in the huts area
Have a rest from it all!

Please SPREAD TOWARDS THE SEA and not the other huts.

DOGS are allowed on the beach but MUST BE KEEPT ON THE LEAD - please keep in mind & respect the fact that not everyone likes dogs even if they are the friendliest or cutest to you!

WATER TAP is very close, by the stairs.

TOILETS are a few minutes walking from the hut to the left when facing the sea - it's the first building you see but it doesn't have toilets sign.
More public toilets around the pier.

Free street PARKING close to the hut, no restrictions.
There are stairs and a ramp into the huts area - PARK close to the set of stairs facing the sea or the ramp.

NOTE: please bring back when dropping the key anything you used you can't wash eg. towels (not the washing up - leave it the way you found it).

Guest access
Max 8 people only.
Whole hut for the day.
You collect (and drop) the key from our home (CT6 6DJ) on the day of your booking. Full address will be sent to you after you book.
Or we can meet at the hut if you aren't driving.

Note that YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO BOOK if you aren't registered with Airbnb.

Other things to note
lf you come by TRAIN, HERNE BAY is your station and it's an easy 20 minutes walk to the Beach hut - Western Esplanade, Herne Bay, CT6 8RN.

We also offer CREAM TEA (scones, clotted cream, jam) and a VINTAGE TEA SET as an add-on to your booking - pls see pictures.
This will be at extra cost and all info will be sent to you after booking.
This can be any day of the week. Max 8 people.

Please leave the hut the way you found it eg. do the washing up and bring back what you can't wash eg. towels (if you hire the tea set don't wash it, I will collect it to be washed at home).
