A spacious bungalow, one of many that I have purchased, lived in, and then hosted on Airbnb. Each one has my personal touch, along with my interest in providing a nice living space for my guests. This place is in Wakefield, a fishing and hunting getaway that also serves as a community for students, military, and families who like a quiet, independent, and friendly town.

The space
A 1930s bungalow that was expanded in 1950, very solid, dry, and comfortable for Kansas. If you are from Kansas, you know about basements and how they make a house. This one is fully finished, clean, and dry. If you are not from Kansas, then a basement can be a deal breaker. Having lived here a year, I can tell you that having a basement to run to when tornadoes come is a very comforting feeling, especially when it has its own bathroom and living space.

You're literally around the corner from the K-12 school, and the recycling truck. Down the block is the lake. Flooded this year, first time since 1993, but nowhere near the property. Town is quiet and convenient, with gas station, convenience store, and Dollar General. 45 minutes from Manhattan and K-State University, and 15 minutes from Fort Riley, and Junction City.
