Beach cottage by the sea and the beautiful sand dunes in Mellbystrand. Unique chance to stay really close to Sweden’s longest sandy beach. Here you can sit with your feet in the warm soft sand and watch the glowing sun set in the shimmering sea. Take a late evening dip in the salty sea and then, after just a few steps, you’re back home in the cosy comfy cottage. Staying here gives you a great opportunity to fully enjoy beach life, the light evenings and experience Swedish summer at its best!

The space
Nice little cabin (11 sq.m) with everything you need for a relaxed stay. Kitchen with stove/oven, fridge/freezer drawer. Coffeemaker, toaster, radio, small barbecue. Sofa bed for two.

Water is carried in. There is a simple dry toilet inside the cabin (see photo), but for comfort we recommend using the regular flush toilet located a few hundred meters away. There you will also find fresh drinking water and a basic outdoor cold-water shower.

If you appreciate the experience of a cosy little place in a nice unique location more than having fancy bathroom facilities, you will have a lovely time here.

Other things to note
Water is collected and you will be provided with three large fresh cans with taps, one of glass. There is a tiny bathroom with a campa potti/composting toilet in the cottage that can be used if needed. Common toilet, unheated outdoor shower and a place to collect fresh water is about a 5 minute walk from the cottage down a little road. You can also take the beautiful scenic walk along the beach if you want.

Mellbystrand is a nice coastal village with shops, restaurants and activities. From here you can easily to go on trips to the popular summer town Båstad, the city of Halmstad and Laholm. The surroundings around the cottage are uniquely beautiful and you will be living just a few steps from the sandy beach and the sea. Looking out the windows you will see rolling sand dunes, flowing beach grass and a few neighbouring cute beach huts.
