Situated on the beautiful Lincolnshire-Nottinghamshire border at the end of a private lane nestled within 32 acres of landscaped gardens & woodland overlooking its own private fishing lakes & clay shooting ground.
The main house boasts 6 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms with beautiful views of the grounds. In addition to the main house, two self-contained rooms: The Pen and The Rookery, are available to book for your stay at an additional cost of £105 each per night.

The space
Gorse Lodge rural retreat is full of character with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, fireplace with log burner, floor to ceiling windows & doors to the gardens, stairs to a glazed galleria landing. The bespoke semi-circular bar, games room, cinema, gym and hot tub ensures fun and relaxation for all. (Please note gym and hot tub facilities incur an additional cleaning fee).
Surrounded by lakes woodland and landscaped gardens the lodge provides a rural escape for walkers and wildlife lovers and a sporting venue for fisherman and target shooters of all standards. Why not enhance your stay with a few rounds at the clay pigeon ground, take a lesson with our resident GB team instructor or enjoy a lazy day fishing the lakes. Gorse Lodge boasts stunning views, beautiful internal living spaces & accommodation to suit all.
The magnificent kitchen breakfast room has a breakfast bar, Aga, induction hob, windows from floor to vaulted ceiling, with two sets of double doors opening onto the decked terrace.
The dining room is a delightful double aspect room with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams & chimney breast with doors opening onto the gardens with views over the lake.
The sitting room leads through to the games room which also opens out onto the garden, with hot tub and gym facilities. The games room includes a home cinema, complete with tiered seating, pool table and card table. There is a separate WC & doors lead to the rear of the property.
To the rear of the property is an L-shaped conservatory/atrium with double doors opening onto a decked terrace & stairs to the first floor.
From the courtyard you access two self-contained rooms: The Pen and The Rookery, which are available to book for your stay at an additional £105 each per night.
The Pen is a small, self-contained studio with en-suite shower room, king size bed, small kitchenette & dining facility.
The Rookery has quaint living space with king bedroom and en-suite shower room as well as a double sofa bed, microwave, kettle and sink.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Gorse Lodge provides the perfect setting for any gathering. The property has heritage as a wedding and function venue offering total privacy and superb photographic opportunities to create special lasting memories.

Guest access
Guest have access to the complete grounds & main house including the patio's, lawns, play area & lake. Guests only have access to The Pen & The Rookery if booked prior to arrival.
Entry and exit to the Lodge is via security gates. Visitors will be supplied with an activation fob and entrance key. Any retained or lost fobs or keys will be charged for.
Access to the gym and hot tub facility are available upon request and incur an additional fee of £350 for post cleaning.
Access to the clay pigeon shooting grounds by arrangement.

Other things to note
Gorse Lodge is next door to an active clay pigeon shooting ground and offers clay pigeon shooting & lessons with a GB Champion, fishing & beautiful grounds to walk.
The Brandon Woods Clay Shooting ground is open Sunday from 10am till 2pm & Thursdays subject to daylight hours.
The Shooting ground also has a cafe offering breakfast rolls, cakes & hot drinks.

Gorse Lodge is located at the end of a picturesque lane, is remote, beautiful & a great 'get away'. It is also the home of Brandon Clay Shooting Ground where some of the UK's top shooting experts come to compete and practice in nearby woods.
In addition, close by is the International PFI Karting track which holds competitions throughout the year, as well as 'arrive & drive' for visitors.
Within 2 miles is an Alpaca visitors centre with coffee shop, they have around 80 alpaca's to see.
Newark, Lincoln & Grantham hold treasures & history of their own & visitors are encouraged to visit the local areas, see the antiques & visit some of the fabulous coffee houses and shops.
The immediate surrounding area is serviced by a number of superb restaurants and bars including the highly regarded Brownlow Arms in nearby village of Hough on The Hill.
