Filled with art and feng shui, our beautifully appointed home is tucked amidst vegetable gardens and flower patches. Outside you'll enjoy nature walks and beaches. Afterwards, you'll retire to a cozy bedroom, private bathroom, and leisure room with skylights, TV, and sofa to relax in. For breakfast you'll savor local specialty foods such as gourmet granola, artisan bread, steel-cut oats, and more. If you like basking on a deck or chilling on a porch, then this is where you'll want to call home.

The space
Nestled in a grove of towering oak trees, this unique home is filled with art and charm.

In addition to having access to the kitchen and living room, on the second floor you'll have two private rooms and a private bathroom for your personal use:

1) The cozy bedroom includes two independent twin beds which stand at a height 22 inches from floor to mattress. A step stool is provided if needed, or the mattresses can be easily arranged side-by-side on the floor as one large bed, if desired. And you'll never be too hot or too cold with the room's own zone climate control, allowing you to dial in the temperature as desired.

2) The second private room is a multi-function lounge in which you can do as you please. There is a desk to work at, a big screen TV to watch movies on, a rocking chair to read in, a sofa to recline on, and a skylight to bask beneath.

3) Your private bath is elegantly designed with custom woodwork and tiling. The shower includes natural soaps and shampoos for your daily use.

Note that the private rooms do not share walls with other bedrooms, giving you a secluded 'wing' of the house to call your own.

Outside there are lush vegetable and flower gardens to meander through. We also have a deck where you bask in the sun with a refreshing beverage. Or you can recline on the porch if you prefer the shade. The beach is a short 10-minute walk away where you can have fun during the day and enjoy breathtaking sunsets each night.

You'll have access to the whole house, so make yourself at home!

In addition to your private bedroom, you'll also have access to a second private lounge room which can be used at your leisure. It's equipped with a desk, TV, couch, and skylight! A very cozy space to relax, work, study, or hang-out however you please.

+ Your stay includes a complimentary artisanal breakfast of locally made bread, organic granola, organic yogurt, fresh organic fruit, french press coffee, orange juice, and a wide selection of specialty teas.

+ We operate a green home to the best of our capacity. All food scraps are composted, recyclable materials are collected, and our cleaning agents are natural 'earth friendly' products. When you see how beautiful the land is here, you'll see why we have such a deep respect for the planet!

Monument Beach is a short stroll down the street where you can plunge into the water, search for seashells, and gaze at boats bobbing in the marina. In addition, a park offers tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground and field for recreation. There's also an ice cream parlor with homemade goodness to enjoy under the sun!

I like to spend time with my guests
We are a couple who bask in the pleasures of cooking, reading, music, and gardening. I taught at the Waldorf School for 30 years. Joan runs a doula service along with being a chocolatier for healthy chocolate. Our home was designed and built by a carpenter for his family living there before us. Charmed by the house's unique character we bought it in 1998 and have since filled it with with our love of art, music, flowers, and design. Our home is environmentally friendly and our food is carefully chosen, organic and healthy. Please let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities. We enjoy the good life here and would be happy to share it with you.
