We had a great time, Nancy and her son Will were very helpful. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a short or long stay. The description was spot on and everything you need was provided. The cottage is very comfortable with a great pier and views from the porch of the lake. Hope to book this cottage again in the future.

Great place!! Only draw back is the scetchy approach to the dock. But overall - AWESOME time and seamless transaction.

This lake cabin completely exceeded our expectations and the location and property grounds was serene and peaceful. My boyfriend and I love road trips, especially during this time of year (Autumn) -- so driving a little over 4 hours from the Twin Cities was a piece of cake for us. I sort of love that Nancy didn't post too many more photos as we were pleasantly surprised to find so much more (namely a giant wood burning fireplace). This home has everything you could possibly want in terms of amenities and I'd consider it "rustic luxe" as it's cozy, low key, and absolutely wonderful. We wish we could have taken advantage of the dock, but alas winter is coming so we understand why it wasn't there. We attempted to canoe, but the wind made the lake extra choppy so we played it safe. We loved being able to see the stars at night over the lake, were able to fish on a nearby river, and stopped into a local pub for lunch and a game of pool. Nancy was incredibly responsive and we could tell that this lake cabin is a special place for her and her family. We loved the books, board games, paintings, old maps, and many seating areas. I hope to rent this place again and bring my friends/family with next time. Thanks again, Nancy! We had an amazing weekend getaway!

Nancy responded to all our questions and more in advance of our stay. We spent most of our time on the cozy enclosed porch that shown in the advertisement for the cottage. The property at the rather exclusive Wheeler Island location has wonderful views of the lake and the island offers a beautiful rolling and tree filled 1.3 mile walk around the perimeter of the island which we made each day of our stay. The only negatives were some cleanliness and plumbing issues we had to deal with but nothing that couldn't be taken care of for future guests.

Nancy wasn't able to meet us during our stay and we easily and quickly kept in touch via email and text. For an authentic experience of going 'up to the lake', Nancy's cabin will deliver. Abundant maple trees loaded with brilliant yellow leaves surrounded the cabin. While sipping coffee and planning our day, we easily spotted a loon and a couple of otters. Later that night the huge harvest moon slowly rising up behind the tree line across the lake was stunning. This cabin offers an authentic 'going up to the lake' experience. The natural beauty is spectacular and the cabin furnishings are comfortable and well-worn and a testament that family and friends have fond memories of staying here. The water is so clear we could see the bottom of the lake from the cabin windows. The well water in the cabin was excellent also: clear, no odor, good water pressure. The cabin living space is generous, the bedrooms and bathroom are quite small. We found downtown Three Lakes to be a friendly place to shop, dine or stop at the Legion for a chat with the locals.

Great getaway, very beautiful place. The cabin was nice and cozy with a Great Lake side view. The two bedroom were comfortable but very small.
