Lovaig View Self Catering holiday let offers a fantastic location on Waternish, Isle of Skye and is within a pleasant 5-10 mins walk to Loch Bay Seafood Restaurant (Michelin Star) and The Stein Inn, (Est 1790).

A beautifully presented, new development with unique handcrafted features built by the host’s Richard, Sarah and their son, Matthew.

A great vantage point with outstanding panoramic views to witness the true spectacle of nature’s play of light, the landscape, Lochs & Hebrides.

The space
Lovaig View is a recently developed, modern, self contained, self catering holiday accommodation ideal for couples or two travel companions. Situated above Stein next door to Skye Skyns 5 star visitors centre with its cafe Yurtea&coffee.
Our accommodation comprises of the following: bedroom with super king size bed with en-suite, with a large 900 by 1200mm walk-in shower, vanity unit and toilet; ample kitchen facilities and dining area with light and luxurious open plan living space. A wood burning stove adds a luxury to ensure cosy nights on the comfortable and relaxing sofa or recovering from your days exploring with your feet up. This space has been developed to take full advantage of the spectacular, picturesque views (which are as ever changing as the weather) and provides a very comfortable space from which to take a holiday.

Lovaig View has a dedicated parking space for visitors in front of the building. The driveway to Lovaig View is shared with the main house and other guests, as is the garden.

-Good WiFi. The main house, Brae Fasach, is fitted with Fibre to Property and is on a Super fast Wi-fi package. As Lovaig View is a detached let on the premises it is connected through an extension to a receiver.

-It’s great vantage point with outstanding, panoramic views which are as ever changing as the weather, providing a picturesque, inspiring canvas.

-it’s fully self contained and provides a well designed, comfortable and warm place in which to take a peaceful and relaxed holiday.

-it’s floor to ceiling windows provide expansive views out over the Loch waters to the Outer Hebrides.

-it’s perfect for couples or two travelling companions as the super king sized bed can be separated into two singles using its ‘zip & lock’ system

Guest access
Lovaig View is located within the grounds of our home ensuring we can do our upmost to ensure an excellent stay. The front lawned area of the garden has a picnic table and garden bench which are provided and guests are welcome to use.

As part of our home, Brae Fasach, we have a guest suite at the far side which is also let out. These areas do not form part of Lovaig View and guests at Lovaig View shouldn’t access the main house unless specifically given permission by host Sarah.
Within the grounds are outbuildings inc. a garage. These do not form part of your let and are for the sole use of the owners. The rear, upper garden area is for owners’ use only due to privacy requirements of the upper bedrooms.

We are a rural location and you may wish to check with your mobile phone provider for service in the area using our Post Code IV55 8GD.
We choose to use WiFi calling, so it may be good to also check your own mobile devices facilitate this.
Wi-fi is available with two USB ports in open plan living space.

Lovaig View offers stunning views over Loch Bay and out towards the Outer Hebrides. Located within a pleasant 5-10 mins walk from the Michelin Starred 'Lochbay Restaurant', run by award winning chef Michael Smith, (pre-booking highly recommend) and The Stein Inn, (Est 1790) table reservation for food also required, with a delightful, waterfront beer garden.

We are next door to the 5* Skye Skyns visitors centre and outlet which open a cafe called YURTea and coffee 7 days a week, in summer months. Nearby attractions on Waternish include access to the waterfront at Stein with its jetty for water sports, Divers Eye centre, Go St Kilda boat trips from the jetty here in Stein, Dandelion Designs Gallery, Cockoo tree Art studio, Trumpan Church with a designated Dark Spot lookout area, Waternish working farm offers a guided walk and cream teas. For self exploration Waternish forestry and coastal walks, which can all start from our door step. There are also four large bays on Waternish CamusLusta, Bay, Ardmore and Scorr bay.

Nearby in Dunvegan (10mins) you will find numerous cafes, the oldest Bakery in Skye and a fresh fruit and veg shop. The grocery store, the post office and petrol station here all have ATM machines. There’s also a small museum, an art gallery called Skye Makers, craft shop selling goods from local Hebridean Alpaca wool and local walks through the woods or by the lochs. Dunvegan Castle and gardens, with loch side boat trips, with lots of wild life including seals. These can also been seen on the route down to Coral beach.

North Skye also offers visitors Neist Point lighthouse, the Three Chimneys Restaurant, Talisker distillery and Visitors centre, the Old Inn at Carbost, the Faerie Pools at the foot of the Cullins Mountain range, the Faerie Glen Uig, the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr, Duntulm Castle, Skye Museum of Island life, plus much more.

Portree, which is the main town on the Isle of Skye, (27 miles, 35 mins away) with many shops, restaurants, banks, food outlets/cafes tourist attractions and tourist information office. The Aros centre hosts a variety of performances, cinema/tic shows, theatre and has a diary of events on line.
