Located in the romantic and historical Old Town, this lovely studio is a perfect place to enjoy the charming atmosphere of Nice. It is situated in a typical, colorful and classy “old style” building, with some beautiful architecture at the entrance.

The space

You are at a walking distance from everywhere. And do walk around in wonderful Old Town, enjoying the special feeling on its narrow streets that always lead you to a new surprise! The Old Town is also famous for its little boutiques and shops, where you can find authentic souvenirs and gifts. The old classic – the Nice flower market - is just a few steps away. Let the sun go down and see how it transforms into a lovely avenue full of restaurants and cafes. If you can’t find your favorite one here, try the many others in the Old Town or walk across Place Massena to the Pedestrian Zone to find the one you love.

If you want to swim, just take your towel and walk 200 meters, you will reach the famous Promenade des Anglais and its beaches.

The flat is perfect for 2 people. It has an equipped kitchen, a flat screen TV, WI-FI, a washing machine and a comfy sofa-bed. Please notice that the studio is located at the 4th floor and there’s no lift, as is the case in all buildings in the Old Town.

Feel the heartbeats of the Old Town in this charming studio! Bienvenue!

Other things to note

Please be warned that it is located at the 4th floor without lift, as all the buildings in the Old Town.

Having arrived late into Nice it was great to be greeted by a driver, arranged by our host. Once we arrived at the edge of the old town we met someone who walked us to the flat, showed us around and gave us some good tips on where to go for dinner. The flat is basic but the location is perfect. Whether we were after the beach, the flower market or the shops and restaurants along the windy streets they were all a minute away. During the time we spent there it was very warm (36C) and in the evenings we would open the windows and make use of the fan. It was also very convenient to have a fridge for keeping some amazing fresh food from the market for breakfast.

We thought the apartment was very good and would certainly recommend it to others. Although it is a smallish room, the decor makes it feel spacious light and airy. It had all the facilities we needed. We had a five day visit. Others have pointed out the steps up to the apartment and this isn’t exaggerated. However, the benefit is that it is quite quiet as it is well above the narrow lanes below. We also enjoyed the view of the other buildings across the small square. We were greeted and shown around the well-equipped apartment and given advice on where we could eat locally on a budget. Also our very helpful and friendly chat enabled us get our bearings for the morning as our flight was delayed and we arrived tired and rather hungry. Everything is on the doorstep. It is two minutes from the sea ( we were swimming - in October!), there is a lovely fruit, veg, cheese and fish market on the way. In the other direction a minute away is a great small shop that has very nice wine, milk, bread etc etc. the price is no different to the big supermarkets/ shops. There is a great Boulangerie two minutes away and lovely arty shops to browse. The atmosphere in the old town of narrow lanes is charming. We really enjoyed the superb new park that runs over the old riverbed towards the centre of Nice. It is very special. It is beautifully paved with steam oozing from the ground in one quarter while fountain jets play over a vast reflective shallow pool in another. The plants are very special too. It’s a great location for visiting the art galleries especially if you are a fan of Matisse and Chagall, both a bus journey away in Nice. Saint Paul de Vence was a great day trip by bus to the Maeght Foundation and the lovely village, take another short bus trip from there to see the Matisse chapel. Another day we took the train to Ventimiglia in Italy visiting the Hanbury Botanic Gardens by bus (wear mosquito’s repellent). There is also another great market at Ventimiglia selling lovely cheeses, hams, fruit and veg. The location and the apartment were perfect. Some days we ate in using the ample facilities. Other days we had excellent meals not more than five minutes away helping to make a very memorable stay.

Greeted by Eric (BnB Groom services) who was great! Apartment as expected - lovely and clean. All linen and towels provided. 4th floor so a good few stairs to climb but needed following all the local delicious food. A few plug sockets were slightly loose but that was the only thing wrong with the studio and I am sure an easy job to fix. Location was perfect - heart of the old town and steps away from the Beach. With the windows closed, not a noise heard through the night. I recommend this greatly. Abby

This studio is in a perfect location - it's in the heart of the old town, a few seconds from all the restaurants and a couple of minutes walk to the beach. It's on a side street, so although it's in the heart of the hussle and bussle, it's not noisy. It is a small apartment, but fine if you're going to be out most of the day and just need a place to sleep. It's got all the amenities you need in the kitchen, plus a washing machine and iron/ironing board. The wifi and TV didn't work during our visit, but it was only just installed, so I assume it was just teething problems. It's also on the 5th floor - around 80 steps, so not for anyone with injuries/pushchairs etc. I would heartily recommend Alex's studio and would visit again.

Thank you Beth for your great feedback. TV and WiFi are now working perfectly. Had to fight with the service provide to move faster. By the way, it is at the 4th floor, not 5th floor.

The place is as described on the website. It's closed to everything in the Old Town: bars, restaurants, walking distance to the Port and Tram and not even 1 min walk from the seafront. The weak point is the sofa bed that doesn't offer the comfort that can be expected.

Thank you Christophe for the great review. We are processing to change the mattress upon your feedback.

Since very young, I've had a desire to discover new places. I've had a chance to travel and live in different countries and continents. Besides seeing different things, I believe we can always learn something new. This passion has led me to the wonderful French Riviera, the place where I finally feel at home. I love sharing my passion for the charming city of Nice and my aim is to make you smile when you arrive here, maybe from another corner of the world. I speak several languages, I am energetic and love to help to make you feel better!
