Where you’ll be

Lancashire, England, United Kingdom

Clitheroe - 7 miles away is the ancient market town of Clitheroe, on the edge of Lancashire’s Forest of Bowland, one of England’s 36 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Clitheroe dates back to Saxon times so by the time the imposing 12th century Norman Castle that towers over the town had been built, Clitheroe had already been around for nearly 1,000 years! Clitheroe Castle, said to be the smallest Norman castle in England, is now home to a Museum and 16 acres of landscaped gardens, which houses attractions to appeal to all ages.
Holmes Mill and the Bowlands Beer Hall is a must see, one of the longest bars in Britain – 105ft 4”- and is home to 42 hand pulls and hosts a minimum of 24 individual cask beers at any one time. The decor and design are decidedly industrial but the ambience and the atmosphere are warm and vibrant.

Colne - 8 miles away over beautiful hills with quaint pubs and small coffee houses along the way. Drop into busy Colne where you can find highstreet shops and supermarkets such as Matalan, TX Maxx, Next, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Lidl. McDonald's and KFC onsite too.
Boundry Mills - High-street fashion, homeware and electronic brands housed in split-level shopping development.

Visit nearby Skipton Market Town with the 900 year old Skipton Castle, busy cobbled street market, high-street shops and the wonderful canal-side with restaurants, cafe's and a wide variety of public houses and craft breweries.
Settle - challenge yourself to the famous Yorkshire 3 Peaks or just the one! Don't forget to visit the famous Horton in Ribblesdale train station.

Also nearby are:-
Pendle Hill and Gisburn Forest - great for just a walk or follow the cycle routes.
Pendle Waves Leisure Centre - slides, waves and waterside cafe, great for kids.
Pendle Hill Witches - Beneath the hill lie pretty villages which tell a story of intrigue and witchcraft nearly 400 years old. You can retrace their steps on the Pendle Witches Walking Trail, or the Pendle Witches Road Trail, as well as the Pendle Sculpture Trail, where you have to find the “ witches” dotted through the woodland.
