I enjoyed my stay in every way. The apartment is large - especially by Paris (or any large city) standards. Philippe's mother, Anne, lives in the apartment and it shows her artistic flair. She greeted us on arrival and was kind enough to leave us snacks, juice, and coffee. I have stayed in many apartments in Paris, and this one was especially quiet. It made for great sleeping. The windows open onto a pleasant courtyard. The lovely pedestrian street Rue Cler is just around the corner, and the LaTour Maubourg metro stop is a couple of blocks away. The older friend who joined me for the first night in the apartment said she struggled a bit with rising from the low bed, so if this might be an issue you should keep it in mind. Philippe and Anne both communicated promptly in response to any minor issue. I recommend the space with enthusiasm!
Ok...the apartment as advertised ... absolutely correct. It is quirky, artistic, homey, clean, big, and in the absolute best neighborhood in Paris. Aurelien and his mother helped us get acquainted and settle in. The apartment is SO QUIET! Beautiful, quiet courtyard. I have been to Paris 15 times. I will say here, this is one of the best apartments in the the best neighborhoods we have EVER stayed in!!!
