This beautifully crafted lodge is set into Downland with woodland to three sides. Facing due South it enjoys uninterrupted sunshine and commands views over the Upper Piddle Valley in a Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB).
Total privacy in an elevated position providing seclusion, tranquility and a sense of well-being that many guests opt to ‘stay put’ relaxing in the hot tub, cuddling up by the fire or a bbq on the ‘poop deck’ the choice is yours ! Jurassic coast line in Hardy’s country ...

The space
Tree-Tops Eco enjoys spectacular far reaching views through the rolling countryside of The Upper Piddle Valley in an area of outstanding natural beauty (ANOB) and the chalk hills of the Dorset Downs and beyond can all be viewed from the private seating perched up in the trees.

It is in its own unique setting totally private and exclusive just for you.

The oak shingle clad Lodge is surrounded by three floors of elevated decking, where you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine, while watching out for deer in the woodland from your bed !

There is an abundance of nature too with buzzards and Goshawks to be spotted from the deck. Alternatively stargaze at night and listen to the barn owls, whilst relaxing in the log fired hot tub. There is also a gas fired bbq and elevated seating area in total privacy so you can enjoy and relax and ‘take in’ the woodland and valley scene that surrounds you.

Inside you’ll find a beautiful super king size solid brass bed; piled high with gorgeous linens. The rustic half round pine ceilings and beautiful natural oak polished floors provide the perfect setting to curl up on the authentic leather sofa, with lambs wool blankets adding to the comfort. This can all be enjoyed next to the log burning fire on wintry nights.

To keep you entertained there is a large smart TV with sound bar for movie watching or to simply catch the weekends sports. Otherwise there are games such as scrabble, snakes & ladders and cards available, a host of reference and travel books with another section of fictional reading invite you to relax, chill and immerse yourself in this unique atmosphere or simply just peep through any of the windows at the natural surroundings.

A thoughtfully designed bathroom that includes a shower, large bath for two (bathe with a friend in true eco style ! )and heated towel rail ensures that you'll be snug, with piping hot water and free hair and body wash products. There’s a proper flushing loo and a ceramic wash-basin with bathroom cupboard to store any of your bits and bobs.

All our linen and towels are professionally laundered.

The Treehouse has a large elephants breath grey kitchen, with pine worktops. Including a fridge and freezer, gas fan oven and hob, large double bowl sink, dishwasher, percolator, toaster, kettle and utensils. All of the cooking equipment and crockery is of good quality and should help you create an excellent meal.

The hand crafted oak table with four accompanying tree trunk stools provides the perfect setting for breakfast or dinner. On arrival you will be welcomed to a wicker basket, filled with local produce.

If you decide you do want to leave your little paradise, there’s plenty on offer close by. A 20 minute walk along idyllic country lanes past fragrant hedgerows and through woods brings you to Langham Wine Estate that offers tours of the vineyard and has its own restaurant and bar, with all locally sourced foods on offer. Otherwise on less sunnier days you can pop up to the village pub, 'The Oak in Dewlish', where you can meet some of the locals and sample the ales and hot food just 7 minutes walk away. Other fine traditional pubs are nearby.
Search The Royal Oak Milborne St Andrew (2 miles) for carvery Friday evening and Sunday, Brace of Pheasants,Plush, the Blue Vinney, Puddletown.
With the uniqueness of the lodge, warmth of the village and the surrounding spectacular countryside - we do hope you enjoy yourselves and have an amazing relaxing stay away from the stresses of modern life.
Take footpaths just a short distance away to Milborne Woods ( deer and bird wildlife) and in April an amazing display of bluebells and wild garlic permeate the air.
