Furry friends welcome

Bring your pets along for the stay.
My wife Rita built this tiny house a few years ago, with a whole lot of love and care. It was a very special project for her, but it doesn't get much use these days: We would love for you to come and enjoy it!

The tiny house is on our 150 acre farm near Holland Centre, with a sauna, trails, wetlands and a river on our property and plenty of great of hiking in the surrounding area.

This is a unique space (see notes below), suitable for 1 or 2 people (one full sized mattress in the loft).

The space
Note: This is a RUSTIC cabin . There is no bath or shower, and no lock on the door. There is a (clean) composting outhouse just down the path and a swim-spot just down the road in the summer months (swim spot is in Hamilton Creek, just at the bridge on Hamilton Rd - we love it for a quick dip, but if you're concerned about privacy it is along the road/near houses).

The does cabin have electricity, COLD running water (summer only - we will provide a large refillable water jug in winter) for drinking and washing. There is a kettle to heat water, a propane camp-stove for cooking and a small refrigerator. There is also a wood stove for use in the colder months (it's a small space - easy overheat if the fire is too large). There is an outdoor fire-pit in a clearing next to the tine house for guests to use.

We will make sure there is always coffee and tea in supply!

Guest access
You will have the use of our tiny house as well as the porch and picnic table out front, as well as outhouse, sauna, and the run of the farm!

Other things to note
This is a working farm, as such there may be farm machinery in operation during your stay.

In order to facilitate electricity and running water, the tiny house is located near our main house (across the lane). We will give you your privacy, but be aware our house and our day-to-day goings on are visible from the tiny house.

Poison Ivy is a natural part of the landscape around here, and we do have a couple patches of it growing on our property - bring long socks and closed toed shoes if you plan on exploring!

My work: Organic Farming and Organic Farm Inspections
Lives in Holland Centre, Canada
I an organic farmer, nature lover, sci-fi fantasy geek and all around nice guy (or so I've been told). Currently obsessing over game of thrones, so no spoilers please! I am a bit of a homebody and don't do a lot of travelling, but when I do I like to stay off the beaten path and keep it casual. Love to check out local farmers markets and funky little restaurants. Eating is my favorite part of travelling.
