It was a pleasure staying with Frano's parents who welcomed us warmly with homemade ice tea and cheese cake. They also offered us some advice on where to go. Especially the view on the sunset from the balcony is stunning. It might be a bit off from the old town, but it is great for a relaxed stay since it is also in walking distance from Lapad! We would definitely return!

we have spent 3 wonderful days in Frano's house. They are really nice and helpful! if we came back to Dubrovnik in the future , we would also choose this lovely house to stay.

I and my girlfriend had a great days in Dubrovnik! The house is located on the hill and there are a lot of stairs to get there from the harbor by foot, but there is a great view on the city! They are really nice and provided us a map and some information of the city. The room is clean and comfortable.

The private room is clean and huge. And there's a nice balcony with a lovely view especially at sunset. It's far from the main bus station though, about 2 kms walk uphill. Or you can take a bus but you still need to climb a lot of stairs from the nearest bus station to the house. If you have a lot of luggage, this might not be convenient. (do note that Dubrovnik, in general, has a lot of stairs) I think the house or the room is being hosted by Frano's mom. She was the one who received us upon check-in and everything else. We didn't get to meet Frano. We were served lemonade and bread upon check-in which is really a sweet gesture after all the hiking we did to get to the house. The mom speaks very little English, enough to understand minor details about the house but we couldn't converse for anything more or ask directions or recommendations. She always greets us and she's always smiling. Very warm and helpful, it felt like she's our own mom. :)

We highly enjoyed our stay thanks to to the kindness of our host who really took care of us and everything. The place is clean and at 30 min walk to the old city. We would recommend it without hesitation.

Quiet, cosy atmosphere, nice view from the balcony. You can park in the street round the corner. 40 minute walk from the apartment to Dubrovnik old town along the main roads - probably better to use public transport. Like other reviews have mentioned, you'll be living quite close with Frano's mother, who is very sweet and eager to help, yet perhaps a little too present if you prefer more privacy. The price is rather steep for what you get (I paid €60 for the night) compared with other apartments, but this is of course season-dependent. I hope this helps :)

The room is in walking distance to the port, if you don't have too much luggage to carry, since you have to climb a lot of stairs. You live rather close to the family and share the bathroom with them. Beautiful view over the bay from the sunny balcony outside the room.
