Victorian stone-built detached villa in large private grounds, with contemporary bright and airy loft space. The loft can sleep up to 4, has an integral open plan lounge and kitchen space, large dedicated shower room downstairs. Private entrance to the rear in beautiful garden setting with woodland and stream, peace and privacy but just 5 minutes walk to town centre. Off street safe parking, access to shed for bicycle storage and outdoor tap for cleaning mud off wellies or bicycles!

The space
The Loft is centrally heated with dormer windows to the front and large velux window to the rear, overlooking the woodland garden. An outside seating area adjacent to the entrance is available for guests to use. Kitchen facilities include a multi-function oven with microwave settings, portable induction hob and an under-counter fridge with small ice-box. All utensils, crockery and cleaning materials are provided. We encourage recycling and have provided labelled containers for this, thankyou! We have 2 cats and would ask guests not to bring dogs to stay. We'd also appreciate if guests leave their shoes downstairs to help keep the loft lovely for everyone : ) There is a key safe at the guest's entrance.

An hour and 15 minutes drive north from Edinburgh airport, Pitlochry is well known for it's beautiful well-conserved Victorian architecture and lies on the main East Coast railway line from London to Inverness. Great coffee shops, lovely walks both long and short, forest and lochside hikes and Ben Vrackie are just a stone's throw from our home. House of Bruar is a shopping mecca just 10 miles north on the A9 and Blair Castle, one of the prettiest castles in Scotland, even closer by. Glenshee ski slopes are 45 minutes away by car and Braemar just a little further on from there. The Enchanted Forest takes place every October for the entire month and is a fantastic event that is usually a sell-out. The New Year's Day ceilidh sees the whole town centre closed off for a massive outdoor ceilidh dance with complementary food and drink- a great get-together to see in the New Year! In September Pitlochry hosts the very last of the summer Highland Games and this is packed with entertaining pipe music, highland dancing and traditional sports competitions including tossing the caber! Every Monday evening in Summer there are 'Highland Nights' held down at the recreation ground with music and dancing and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre holds events the years round from the Winter Words festival to the summer- long repertory theatre season of plays. Folk music is well-served by the Neil Gow festival in summer and the Perthshire Amber Festival in Autumn. Craigower Golf Course is a 5 minute walk up the road and is set against Craigower Hill, with spectacular views down the glen.
