Location - if you are seeking a truly unique holiday experience, look no further. Bright & stylish 1 BR W/Heating & A/C, in the centre of Alfama, 200m to the metro, walking distance to everything. Located in the oldest historical districts in Lisbon, a short walk to the river, and equipped for longer stays. Surrounded by history, here there are no cars and only the sound of Fado, the soulful Portuguese song of “saudade” will fill your ears. You will forget you are in a big city if you stay here

The space
Bright, cozy newly renovated 1 bedroom loft with heating and air conditioning. The bedroom has one queen bed and the living room has a very comfortable sofa bed that sleeps 2. We provide a mattress topper for additional comfort for sleeping on the sofa. The unit is fully equipped with everything you may need for a fabulous holiday or a long term stay in Lisbon. It has a fully equipped kitchen and towels and bed linens are included as is cable, high speed wifi and a washer.

You are steps from the Miradouro de Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol, 100 metres from the Fado Museum, steps to great Fado singing, walking distance to all the historical district such as Se, Baixa, Graca, Chiado, Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré and a 5 minute walk to Sta. Apolónia Metro and Train Station where you can take the Metro to Sintra or the train to other areas such as the Algarve, Porto etc.

The unit is located on the 3rd floor of a typical Alfama building with no elevator and steep, narrow stairs. The bedroom has dormer style window with lowered ceilings on each side as per the pictures. Alfama is not a place where anyone with mobility issues should stay but if stairs don’t bother you, then this is a great apartment with fabulous views of Calcadinha de São Miguel. Cars are restricted inside Alfama so traffic noise will never be a problem. This unit is the epicentre of the festivities of the “Santos Populares” which takes place in the month of June. This apartment is a great place from which to explore Lisbon as it’s within easy walking distance to the best things Lisbon has to offer. It’s close to fantastic dining in a neighbourhood with the best ambiance.

Please note that the stairs are steep, which is typical for this area.

The apartment is about 30 square metres (350 square feet) which is very typical for this area where most buildings are from the 8th century. Although the apartment can sleep four people, four ADULTS may find it small.

JUNE FESTIVAL

The apartment is at the EPICENTRE of the Popular Saints Festivities. Please expect lots of music and dancing well into the morning hours if staying in June.
