About this listing
Private bath, super comfy queen sized bed in a spacious room. You'll be greeted by breathtaking views across the Bay and an amazing 1.2 acre garden with a brick path that leads down several steps. This house was built in the late 1920's and is a great space.
You'll really enjoy this environment.
You'll have both a bay view and a view of the lemon trees in the garden. Nice to wake up to!
This spacious room has an amazingly comfortable queen bed, lots of storage/closets, a private bathroom and is probably the quietest room in the house.
Redwood City is right down the hill where you will find a lot of wonderful restaurants & music venues. Nearby is a nice neighborhood coffee place, a couple of places to eat, a work out facility, nail & hair salon.
This house is close to Hwy. 280 and Edgewood, Approx. 1/2 hr to San Francisco or San Jose. Very convenient to Stanford, Woodside, Palo Alto, Redwood Shores and the rest of Silicon Valley.
Public transportation is lacking, so having a car is a good idea.
There is wifi throughout. Great coffee/tea and full kitchen access. You'll love hanging out on the patio and enjoying the view. If I happen not to be home during your arrival, please look for a key to the house under the mat in front of the front door.
Interaction with guests
I interact as much as you'd like. I am usually home and have an office here. But everyone has their own private space so we aren't in each other's way.
Plentiful parking in the driveway. Public transportation is not good in the area.
Other things to note
Note that there are steps leading down to the house. I also have 4 rooms that could be occupied at any given time and the people staying here are always fabulous. If you like dogs, this is a wonderful home. My dogs are super friendly and well behaved. Many people have returned because they love my pets!
Absolutely NO smoking of any kind, anywhere on the property. Really. We practice the golden rule. Just pick up after yourself and be considerate of people sleeping late at night or early morn. Please put dishes in dishwasher or clean them and put them back.
Unfortunately I can not allow cats as my son is allergic to them! If you would like to bring your well-behaved, house trained dog, please clear it with me first and know there is an extra fee.
The house is perched atop 1.2 acres with an amazing unobstructed view stretching from Oakland to the Dumbarton Bridge. My garden was even more lovely before the drought and my dogs have the run of the place. There are 4 rooms available here--2 with private bathrooms, 2 others share a bathroom. All very comfy. This a casual environment--lots of snacks and great coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Also a lot of places to wander and take a moment to yourself and relax.
Please consider me an excellent resource for the area, as I've lived here for over 20 yrs. and am well connected. I love all sorts of food (especially Mexican and Indian) enjoy music and am a HUGE fan of the Monkee's (so don't hold that against me). Born in Oklahoma yet well travelled and have lived abroad as well. NEWS FLASH!!: Like my page! Fraser's Perch would love your visit--upload your photos and join the fun at any of our events. Welcome! I look forward to your stay.
