The Airigh (pronounced 'arry) at the Black House was designed by award-winning architects Dualchas to provide peaceful self catering accommodation for two. Set right on the coast, with stunning views across the Sound of Sleat towards the mountains of Knoydart, and only a few minutes walk from the Armadale ferry, it is the perfect base for a relaxed stay on Skye.
Enjoy the spectacular view through the huge picture window, and as the sun sets, cosy up in front of the wood-burning stove.

The space
The bedroom is compact but comfortable, with a king-sized bed and clothes storage unit
The shower-room has under-floor heating, and a heated towel rail for the luxurious cotton bath sheets.
The kitchen area is compact but well-equipped with induction hob and oven, as well as a microwave and fridge/freezer.

Where you’ll be

Ardvasar, Scotland, United Kingdom

Sleat is known as the Garden of Skye and is a beautiful peninsular, with great views to both the mainland and the Cuillin hills on Skye. Armadale has a well-stocked local shop, petrol pumps, a garage that also hires cars. The Clan Donald Centre has a cafe/restaurant, bar and a museum in the beautiful gardens. The Inn at Ardvasar also has a bar and restaurant. There are good walks in the woods and hills, and locally along the coast, where you can often spot otters and seals as well as oystercatchers, heron and other sea-birds.
South Skye Sea Kayaks offer kayak trips for all abilities, and bicycles are for hire locally at Teangue.
