After searching for a remote place near Ephesus so that we could explore the Turkish country. We came across Lydia's quaint farmstead. It was exciting from the moment that Lydia picked us up from the local and oldest rail way, to showing us how to make good Turkish coffee. Lydia…

Lydia's home is very nice but I would not recommend staying here without a vehicle as it is very isolated and the air bnb address lists a restaurant some fifteen minutes drive away. A local taxi driver could not find it after nightfall and the host does not answer her phone. Be a…

Response from Lydia:
Joseph forgot to mention that I took them free of charge to this restaurant, because they came on such short notice and I could not cook something for them. I have no hidden charges as there is a list in the room with prices for beer and coffee, etc. I gave Joseph and his girlfriend tea, fruit and dates en drinking water for free. Yes, I do charge for picking up from the train station, that was 15 lira which is 2 € I told them that they could call me if they wanted to be picked up from the village if they would come by minibus. After 10 pm there is no minibus anymore and as they would come by taxi as said before I went to bed and did not hear my phone at 10.30 pm. Never before did a taxi driver lost his way in the village.

Lydia has a lovely place, nestled amongst fruit trees and olive groves in rural countryside of rolling hills and extensive views. She has added an artistic touch to all she has done here: great decor, beautiful marble bathroom, own art work. The location here is an inspiration, e…
