It is a very original house. It consists of 2 floors: in the one below (square) the walls are mostly mud and there are the kitchen integrated to the dining room and the living room and there is the bathroom; the top floor is a geodesic dome covered with straw quincho. From some windows above you can see the sea. The decoration is very special too. The main door is vitreaux and the upper door is half a point. It is a very nice house especially for summer.

The space
The materials with which the house is constructed (mostly wood, mud and quincho), added to the good insulation of foundations and the correct ventilation make it a house with a very good thermal conditioning, mainly in summer. In addition, the quantity and location of the openings give it a particular luminosity. The furniture and decoration details of the house give it a rustic but at the same time comfortable character.
The bathroom and kitchen (which are the only parts of the house built with conventional materials) have everything you need. The gas heater and bathtub ensure very relaxing baths. For those who like to cook, the kitchen has enough counter space, the refrigerator works well and the kitchen has gas burners and oven.
The location of the house is good in relation to the two most important tourist spots in the area (José Ignacio and La Barra) and is also 750 m from the beach. There is public transport nearby for those who do not come with their own vehicle.

Where you’ll be

Balneario Buenos Aires, Departamento de Maldonado, Uruguay

The neighborhood has many services (warehouses, butchers, bakeries, etc.). It is a seaside town where people live all year round so there is always movement. The beach nearby is quite well preserved, has a fairly wide dune cord, and the beach is somewhat open. It is not highly recommended to take baths with children but there are beaches not far away (3-4 km) where you can go with the whole family to bathe.
