Cabin 6 is our largest cabin. It boasts a modern ceramic shower and open kitchen/living area. With a 12 x 28 ft deck perfect for sunbathing or watching the boats go by. This one really feels like you are in your own private boat sailing Lake Huron.

Shady Shores is conveniently located along Michigan's gorgeous east shoreline along US-23, locally known as the sunrise side. The resort features stunning, unimpeded views of Lake Huron and the eastern horizon. We are located 2 miles south of downt

The space
Each of our cabins is just under 500 sqft made of either knotty pine or modern panels, and boasts two bedrooms, each containing a queen sized bed. Cabins are professionally cleaned and disinfected between guests, and new linens and towels are placed. Water and sewer are municipal. Cups, plates, pots, flatware, and basic cooking utensils are provided. Kitchens include toaster ovens, basic ranges, and refrigerators.

Guest access
We have electronic locks on every cabin as well as a physical lockbox key as a backup. You will receive an email with checkin instructions and your cabin code prior to arrival. There is no need to physically check in or out with the office on arrival or departure.

Built in 1948, Shady Shores in Oscoda, Michigan has been a fixture on US 23 for decades. Recently reopened to the public after private ownership since 2002, this classic beach resort is getting modern updates to give our guests the rustic experience of up north in Michigan, but with the comforts and conveniences they're used to in the city. Our resort is six cabins, situated along 200' feet of Lake Huron gorgeous shore, come visit us!
