The Malthouse is a converted 18th Century cottage, oozing character and finished to a high standard with all the modern amenities to make your stay super comfortable. Situated just outside of Reynoldston village in the heart of Gower (Britain’s first Area of National Beauty), beaches, walking and nature are all on the doorstep.

The space
On entering the Malthouse the porch leads to an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, with microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and hob/oven. Pots, pans, china and utensils are supplied for you to use. This opens into and adjoins the floor to roof lounge area equipped with wood burning stove and slate floors throughout the downstairs. (Underfloor heating throughout powered by Air Source Heat Pump)

Down the corridor is Bedroom 1, with a King (5 foot) bed and the downstairs bathroom next door.

Upstairs consists of a mezzanine floor overlooking the downstairs lounge. Oak flooring throughout the upstairs also benefits from underfloor heating.

Bedroom 2 with King (5 foot) bed and ensuite shower room is across the landing past the laundry cupboard, fitted with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Fresh linen and towels are provided, and given the current Covid-19 situation, thorough cleaning and sanitisation of the property is taking place between every stay and provisions that would normally be available (coffee, tea, sugar etc.) will be removed.

Outside of the malthouse is plenty of parking for 3 or 4 cars and your own large lawn area and patio. Inside of the heat pump shed are sun loungers and charcoal bbq for your use.

Where you’ll be

Gower, Swansea, United Kingdom

The Malthouse is just outside of the village of Reynoldston, nestled in the heart of Cefn Bryn common land.

Ideally situated for wedding accommodation, being a short walk to Fairy Hill, a 2 min drive to the King Arthur Hotel, Old Walls and Ocean View and a 5 minute drive to the Oxwich Bay Hotel.

You can also enjoy a holiday at the Malthouse, off of the beaten track with footpaths, beaches and nature right on the doorstep.

The beautiful countryside and and golden beaches are all within easy reach with all beaches on Gower within 15 minutes of the Malthouse.

Here are a few of my favourite:-

Mewslade Bay + Fall Bay - are often deserted and dog friendly and personal favourites. Surfing is a popular activity on Gower, with Llangenith and Caswell beaches nearby for reliable rollers.

Blue Pool is accessed from Broughton Caravan Park - a walk along the top of the cliffs and a scramble down to one of my favourite beaches which even in high season can be enjoyed by yourself.

Three Cliffs Bay - One of Gower’s most picturesque beaches. The footpath follows the meandering river along the floor of the valley, along salt marsh from Parkmill to the beach, passing the remains of Pennard Castle and onwards to the beach, dunes and the iconic three cliffs.

Rhosilli - The most iconic of beaches/landscapes and a must see for any visitor to Gower. The rugged cliff tops, vast beach and ample National Trust car parking make this a must visit. Sunsets are superb and not to be missed.

Places Nearby to eat: -

- The King Arthur Hotel in Reynoldston village has daily specials and serves good pub food, a 2 minute drive or a pleasant stroll over the 'Bryn'.
- The Beach House is a Michelin Star Restaurant and overlooks Oxwich Sands. Food is delicious as one would expect.
- The Britannia Inn, Llanmadoc has fantastic food, with both pub standard and special daily menus along with excellent views.
-The Kings Head in Llangennith is a popular pub with surfers from both Llangennith and Broughton beaches.
- The Seafarer, Port Eynon - excellent fish and chips and coffee shops with a sea view.
- Mumbles, Swansea - A busy seaside town with lots of boutique shops, coffee shops and seafront pier and walks with views over Swansea Bay.

Hi I'm Jane, I live next door to the Malthouse so always at hand to help. I love being able to step straight onto Cefn Bryn and walk for miles with the dogs. Also love exploring the numerous beaches of the Gower. Enjoy paddle boarding and yoga.

The Malthouse is neighbouring the main property, separated by hedges and footpaths and is self contained with its own entrance, driveway and lawn area. Surrounding the malthouse is pasture (usually has cows and sheep in) and I am home and able to answer any questions or help whenever you may have them.
