I love my apartment, and I want you to love it as well. I put together a list of guidelines and info about all sort of things regarding your home for the next period of time.

1.Oh no – the trash bin is full – what to do? If you need to change the trash bin you have to put the full one down in the yard. Use the back door down at the main entrance to enter the yard.

2.Shit! I don’t have any more clean underwear. If you need to use the washing machine just put the soap in the middle pocket in the machine (only fill it up 1/3 with soap). You can put the wet cloth in the dryer after.

3.If you haven’t got anything to wear – please go shopping - I appreciate if you do not touch my clothes and shoes that I have left in the apartment.

4.I’m bored and I need to watch TV. The television is only working through your computer. You can use the HDMI cable on the side of the tv and plug it in your computer.

5.I’m hungry – where can I buy food? There is a big supermarked called Superbrugsen 5 minutes walk from my place. You just walk along the canal on your left hand side, and you will see it on the other side of the street next to the tube.

6.I want to impress with my brilliant cooking skills – what to do? Feel free to use whatever things you need for cooking in the kitchen. Just don’t use my food.

7.I want to have a party! No. That is not a good idea – trust me I’ve been there. Don’t play too loud music after midnight cause I have some quite sensitive neighbors. Please take the party somewhere else.

8.All the things you need for cleaning is to find in the closet at the entrance.

9.I want to surf the web - what to do? You can access my wifi: Jakob Olriks Wifi with the password: olrikpower.

10.What should I do when I want to go home? On departure day please leave the two sets of keys in the keybox where you found them the first day.

Please leave the apartment as you received it – nice and clean.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Copenhagen!

The location of this apartment is absolutely fantastic. You can walk almost everywhere from there and if you need the metro it is literally across the road. It is a beautiful apartment and check-in/checkout was so smooth and easy!! Just be aware it is up five floors with no lift, and also the loft area is really only appropriate for children to sleep in. As the roof hasn't been raised, it's very much a mezzanine platform so for grown adults you'd be hitting your head or feeling a wee bit claustrophobic!

Top location but pretty messy house. Bathroom and kitchen are a bit crappy. But the worst were the sheets and towels which didn't look very clean. 5th floor without elevator. The description of the house says free parking but it is actually on the street where payment is required. Communication with Jacob was great and fast.

Positives - Beautifully decorated and unique apartment. Spacious, well-maintained. Perfect location. Pretty views. Negatives - only one bathroom. 5 floors (80 steps) walk-up, no elevator.

The flat is perfectly situated in the middle of Christianshavn. We loved watching people walk by, the tour boats in the canal, and the general congenial busy-ness of the area. There's a great grocery store right on the water, a wonderful wine bar with a view toward Nyhavn, and great restaurants within very easy walking distance. The bridge to Nyhavn is amazing and makes it so easy to get into the very center of town while enjoying doing it! Of course, the flat is on the top floor of the building, which makes it a climb, but the effort is more than compensated by the amazing view over the city and the canal!

Such a cool flat! Views were amazing and it was filled with cool art, plants, etc. Had a really amazing vibe that was perfect for our group. The location is exceptional as well - overlooking the canals in Christianshavn, a quick bike ride to Nyhavn and Paper Island, with lots of supermarkets, restaurants, etc. just a block or two away. Jakob was a great host as well - communicative and really helpful in accommodating my kooky and ever-changing schedule. Allowed for early bag delivery and late bag pick-up on arrival and departure days, which was particularly appreciated. As other reviews noted, it is the top floor apartment in a building without an elevator, but if you are in reasonably good shape (and don't have dozens of bags - oops, we had a few too many!), it's not a bad climb at all... really makes you feel like you earned the extra pastries at the bakery down the block :)!

Really enjoyed the Penthouse and Jakob's beautiful collection of artwork and Danish furnishings. Stairs are many, and difficult with suitcases but once we set out, we only came back to sleep. The views are wonderful and can see a famous church and the canals. Pretty clean but bring your own pillows. There is a tv, but its on the 2nd floor of the penthouse and doesn't have cable, and we were really only on the main floor where the kitchen and bathroom is. Oh, only one bathroom, which can be challenging if you have teens. Everything is about a 20 min walk from his apt. and there is a small grocery store and fabulous bakery/coffee place a block away as well as a very easy metro. Cool neighborhood. Quick to reply via email as well.
