The space

Quite homestead, on the outskirt of Chandigarh, used as a holiday home by a industrialist. Two separate Villas surround a large swimming pool set up in 5acres of garden over looking the Punjab country side. The master bedroom with an attached Jacuzzi and sunna. Amenities- basket ball court, car for site seeing, a near by lake for picnic. Cook and cleaning staff available.
The farmhouse reveals its exceptional qualities to you from the get-go. As you drive towards the main house flowering plants and a gurgling fountain welcome you. The farmhouse clearly has infinite charm and style and the decor of the house is impeccable and does complete justice to the grandeur and sophistication of those who call it home. The homestay has 5 enormous guest bedrooms both with dressing rooms and huge ensuite baths. The rooms are sunny, cheerful and instantly disarming. The home also has many indoor common areas with music systems and TV. Credit for the flawless upkeep of all this goes to Mrs. Majithia, a lady with immense poise and dignity. The homestay is ideal for those travelling to Manali using the new route via Ropar as opposed to the one via Chandigarh. Those visiting Chandigarh will make a grave mistake by staying in the main city rather than in this stunning homestay, which is just 45 mins away. This is also a popular overnight stop for people who are heading to Amritsar and the Golden Temple. Kasauli and solan are convenient day tours from here. On the property itself one can enjoy swims and go on nature walks to get close to peacocks, nilgais etc. A walk along the canal and a visit to the nearby village are also highly enjoyable.

This place is excellent value for money! We came for a weekend getaway from Delhi. It's a beautiful farmhouse, Mrs majithia is the perfect host. Their staff is very friendly and their chef is a rockstar. His chicken Curry was absolutely delicious. There's a lovely pool and 3 friendly dogs. Overall it was a great trip and I'd highly recommend it

The place provides a royal treatment away from the hustle and bustle of a city. Nice home for some alone time. Mrs. Majithia was very welcoming and personally took care of our personal needs.

We had a wonderful warm welcome and a delightful stay at this beautiful home. The grounds are really beautiful and our son had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and swimming in the pool. We had many memorable meals my favourite being the Jack Fruit sabji. We really felt very much at home and are already looking forward to our next visit. Mrs Majitia is a charming and gracious host and and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had fabulous stay in majithia farm. It's was just like from home to home. Mrs majithia welcomed us with open heart and judt felt like we are staying in our own house. We went there in group of 10 for my nephew's wedding and Mrs majithia supported us all the way till end. Services was so good. I would definetely go back for family holiday. As we all wanted to stay together and enjoy wedding, this was the perfect accomodation for us. A night before wedding we had some extra guest, and mrs majithia welcomed them as well and accomodated them. All the creature comforts of home were all there. It was great experience and service is 5star.

If you are looking for a farm-house stay with a really caring family- I whole heartedly recommend the Majithia villa. Mrs Majithia is a warm and gracious lady who genuinely seems to care for your well-being. The property itself is far more beautiful than the photos on the web-page suggest. There are pretty flowering shrubs and trees all around the home. And yes- I would recommend that you bring your own car- Kharar is away from the main city and you will need a way to get about town.

As name says, you will actually experience the punjabi hospitality in a luxurious villa. Our host, Shalani mam was very corporative and well connected while we were traveling to Chandigarh. Breakfast was amazing and rooms were very cosy and comfortable. You have couple of places to see around plus this place is good enough for a morning or an evening walk. If you are thinking of a retreat.. this is a perfect place for it. Highly recommended!

What can we say? It was an unexpected slice of heaven. We got a very warm welcome from Mrs. Majithia along with some hot refreshing tea and yummy pakoras. The rooms were big and well furnished. On the whole our stay was the most comfortable and rejuvenating. We will definitely visit again.

I belong to illustrious family of Punjab and have been educated in one of the finest boarding schools our country has to offer. I have done my post grad from Australia and currently run my own businesses. I love to travel and make it a point to discover a new place/country every year and on my recent travel fell in love with the culture and architect of Spain.
The reason i have opened one of my homes to people is for them to experience the warmth and hospitality along with the shear beauty of Punjab.
