This light, bright one bedroom flat is beautifully furnished and situated in the remarkable CHIPS building designed by world famous architect Will Alsop. Surrounded on three sides by water, houseboats and canal barges, the immediate neighbourhood is called Ancoats, recently declared one of the coolest places in the UK by the Sunday Times (March 2017) and it's also right beside the bars, museums and shops of the city centre and the Northern Quarter.
The property is a really bright, beautifully furnished one bedroom secure flat in the award winning CHIPS Building, a one off Will Alsop designed building that really stands out from the crowd.
The flat comfortably sleeps two, with a large bright kitchen/Living Area and has been furnished stylishly and distinctively and the large windows offer spectacular views over the constantly changing skyline of Manchester city centre.
Guest can also ccess the communal roof terrace. To get to it, stay on the fifth floor and take the door across from the lifts, walk along the corridor, then go up one flight of stairs to the sixth floor, and voila, sorry it sounds a bit complicated but it is very easy
Interaction with guests
I don't normally meet the guests, as I usually send the keys to them ahead of their visit, which gives them more flexibilty, but I am available to chat promptly either via phone or email during their trip to sort out any problems or queries and if required can usually meet them to
I'm currently a development producer at the BBC in Salford, after years of working ind different parts of the UK and around the world. I really enjoy being able to live here during the week because when I was growing up in the Highlands of Scotland, Manchester was an impossibly cool city packed full of bands like: The Smiths, The Buzzcocks, Guy called Gerald, Carmel, Joy Division, ACR and of course Factory Records and the Hacienda so living in this city still feels like a real thrill.
