Philip was the perfect host and offers a great apartment with everything you need for a home from home. The welcome pack, fresh flowers and crisp white bedding were a real treat. We'd love to come back.

We had ample contact prior to check in. Philip was always prompt in replying. Flat was everything it was made out to be. Super clean and extremely well appointed with all mod cons. The location was brilliant, right on the sea front. this also meant parking was difficult, but manageable. Philip had warned us about this and provided us with parking permits. check in was seamless and we made ourselves at home quickly. the flat is large and sunny. We had the family (6 of us) round a couple of times for dinner and it is a great space for entertaining. Very central. We walked everywhere. it is very convenient for the shops, the Laines, the Royal Pavilion and the Marina. All places well worth a visit. We really enjoyed out stay in brighton and having a place like The photographic Studio to stay in really was the icing on the cake.

Philip's place was more amazing than described. He is an extremely gracious, friendly and kind host. He had thoughtful touches, including prosecco and biscuits waiting for his guests. His place was clean, safe and felt like home. It was in a fantastic location with a beautiful view of the beach and a stone's throw from the pier. Highly recommend a stay here and I hope to stay here again in the future!

What a wonderful apartment. The location was perfect with a lovely sea view and easy to walk round the town from here. Philip could not have been more helpful and even provided a welcome pack which was very thoughtful. The apartment is spacious and has all you could need for a relaxing stay. I would certainly stay here again. Highly recommended.

The history of The Old Photographic Suite is fascinating. You find yourself sitting in it's elegant embrace wondering about the personalities who have passed through it portals and into it's former life. The place is dog-friendly, airy, well equipped and has Philip as it's very genial host. With friendly, considerate tenants on other floors, this place is the perfect place to spend time in historic, vibrant Brighton.

Philip User ProfilePhilip is a superhost.

Hi, I'm Philip,
Originally from Sheffield I studied Marine Engineering at South Shields and served my time with P. & O. Princess cruises as an engineer officer based mainly on the West Coast of the USA and the South Pacific before jumping ship in the Caribbean and spending 18 years in the beautiful British Virgin Islands.
After that I moved up to New Hampshire in the USA where I enjoyed 7 years before moving back home to the UK.
Once back in the UK I moved to Brighton where I fell in love with the city and the surrounding area. Since then I spent two years in Portugal running a restaurant and enjoying the sun and beaches, but have now returned home to Brighton to stay for a while, I missed the vibrant life here!
If I can be of any help to you in making your stay more enjoyable or if you have any problems, I can always be found here in the basement apartment.
